It looks like fire recovery to me. The surface of the metal and the coloring says fire more than water.
Personally, I would only shoot that thing with a string from behind somewhere safe. It might survive the first shot or two, but I doubt it still has the structural integrity for repeated firing.
Does anyone know what model it is? I've seen the stock on some AK's like that.
I've seen similar stocks on Romanian AKs but they always have a triangular butt rather than a single bent steel unit.
I've seen that exact one on some other models but they're always unidentified
It looks like an Tantal(?)
Someone know where I can find an m38 Mosin as a wedding gift for myself? It's the only mosin I'll buy
So I've heard that people develop a flinch if they jump right into guns that have more recoil. How would I go about preventing this without buying a smaller caliber gun?

My first gun was a Garand. I have a flinch for the first few shots fired by or around me and then I'm good to go. I'd say no worries.

Good ear pro and a soft buttpad.
If anyone's interested in trying to avoid Italy's gun laws to get worse, please sign this thing and possibly get other gun enthusiasts to sign it.
We all would like to keep infinite "scary assault weapons" instead of six. Thanks.

i still never understood asinine gun laws
if people are gonna do illegal shit with guns they'll probably have an illegal gun anyway
That's exactly what the hundreds of letters we're sending back and forth are talking about.
Anyway, the more people sign these things, the better.
Yeah, and would be nice and low. But it's a pretty small area to be looking through. I like the EOTechs because of their big viewing window. Makes it easy to find and use the reticle quickly.
I'd recommend a Red Ring sight, I don't have any experience with them, but it's the lowest optic I know of, and it's kinda an EOTech, but designed specifically for shotguns.
They might be a bit pricy.

I just found out there is an IOR retailer not too far. Might take a look at them.
But for the time being I need cash for a car, so it'll have to wait.

Nowhere near as bad as their other mosin creations.
Hey guys in the UK, this petition requires 100,000 signatures by 08.08.2012 to be considered by the government and it allows .22 pistols to be reclassified as class 1 firearms.
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/360
I doubt it will happen, but it would be really nice.
I can't sign it, I'm not a UK citizen, but if I could I would sign it right away!

Prusse, please elaborate for that dumb rating you gave me, I can't see the negative in this. IF I remember correctly, pistols in general are considered Section 5 Firearms in the UK, which is the hardest license to get there, making them Section 1 would turn them to the same as shotgun, it would make it much easier for UK shooters to aquire, own and use them.
Hey does anyone have that link to the wasr-10 with a bunch of other things, it may have been like, aimsurplus or a website similar. They've got the wasr-10 with synthetic furniture, some magazines, a bayonet (I think) plus a case? Thanks.

I bought one of these kits, well worth the money.
Finally brought her home.

Came with a holster that smells like it has been in a basement for 80 years, cleaning rod and a screwdriver.

It has a star with an arrow in the middle, so yes.
Also some variants has either a hammer, scepter or a T stamped in the middle, depending on what year it was made in.

Thanks man, how was your wasr when you got it?
I have determined I would very much like a Mateba Autorevolver chambered in .454 Casull. Shame they're 2700 dollars.

had some cosmoline on it but it didn't take long to strip it and clean it.
Got my 700 round spam can of 7.62x39 today. Brings my stock up to about 1500 rounds. Good times.
Kind of annoyed that UPS left it by my garage. The box was not discreet at all... Quite obviously was ammo.

I thought you had to sign for ammo? Why would they leave it there?
I thought you had to sign for ammo? Why would they leave it there?
I have never had to sign. It was either left there or my wife accepted the delivery.
I had to sign for mine.
I hate the law where you have to wait 7 days after you purchase your gun to get it.

That law prevents heat of the moment murders.
