What are lemon squeezers?
What are lemon squeezers?
Shit
Thinking of getting a Makarov 9x18, thoughts on them?
Thinking of getting a Makarov 9x18, thoughts on them?
Good weapon.
How hard is it to find 9x18? I'd imagine it is fairly common, but I have no idea.

Although I'll never use it this way, this is why I'm gonna get something with a fixed front sight post:
Shit
Fair enough.
That's actually kind of smart.
I'm gonna call a few of the local FFL Stores up there to see if I can send them up there for my dad to pickup.
You have to be there to pick it up. They want your ID and you to fill out the paperwork. It's your gun legally so you do the work to get it.
Fair enough.
I'll be semi serious this time. Most top break revolvers, while cool, don't turn out so great because they are considered weaker than the more common solid top. I know that some old Remington's (And I mean really old) are top break and, while cap and ball, can be converted to shoot cowboy loads of 45LC and such. They make good toys... but if you want it for anything more than I would buy a more contemporary design.
God, some of the MPs in this country know NOTHING about firearms at all, it angers me to hear them debate about ending the long gun registry when they don't even know the causes of gun crime in Canada, or what the gun registry even DOES.
I-I know that feel bro
Welp... I got quiet an interesting issue on hand. The moving company which is going to help get us to North Dakota is pretty much beating around the bush with saying that they won't transport firearms across state lines[even though I stated multiple times I would be obliged to disassemble and box them personally, and that I was probably going to donate all my ammo to a local firing range.] Now normally I wouldn't have an issue transporting firearms across statelines in steelbox, but that's where the story gets even funnier... Everyone in my family will be flown up too North Dakota. Meaning we've got no interference in moving/transport and such. My question is quiet simple, whats the most logical/legal method of transporting my guns[Two BB Guns, my Makarov, and FUBAR'd AK-74] to North Dakota if the moving company gives me anymore hassle.
Why not just bring them on the plane with you? All you have to do is keep them in a locked, hard case and clear them with the TSA. Not a big deal.
wooooow Australian police told us that they've approved and filled out the permit today, and that they're going to post it tomorrow, and it would take maybe two days including tomorrow, to get here. I asked if we could just go and pick it up from the police station, and apparently "we aren't allowed" or some bullshit. Seriously, fucking whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy So instead of getting it possibly today, I have to wait another 2 days. I know its not much but i'm gonna go insane if i have to wait for much longer.
So, I passed near an armory today and decided to get a peek inside. Apparently you can't enter the actual "gun store" part of the shop, so I just asked for some prices. "Say, how much would a 10/22 cost here?" "Depends on the brand and model" I thought that perhaps he didn't hear the "10" part and just assumed I was looking for a random .22, so I specified a Ruger 10/22. "Well, a Ruger in 10/22 can go for about 800 euros..." Not only it's a 250 euro gun, but assuming that 10/22 was the caliber made me cringe a little. And I thought the stories of terrible gun shop owners applied only to the US...
hunting proficiency course last night apparently, shooting .308/7,62x51 in a .30-06 chamber is okay and perfectly safe apparently, it's the same thing as shooting 12x65, 12x67,6, 12x70 or 12x76 in a 12x89 shotgun :downs::downs::downs:
[sub]whaaaaaaaaaat[/sub]
hunting proficiency course last night apparently, shooting .308/7,62x51 in a .30-06 chamber is okay and perfectly safe apparently, it's the same thing as shooting 12x65, 12x67,6, 12x70 or 12x76 in a 12x89 shotgun :downs::downs::downs:
The US Navy converted a lot of M1 Garand rifles to .308 by putting sleeves in the chamber. Problem is, a round could get stuck in them and the sleeve would be ejected with the spent casing. It likely wouldn't be noticed by the shooter, but the next shot would get their attention!
I've been told that too that .308 in .30-06 is perfectly fine, but I figured I shouldn't try it. When the subject came up in class, and we compared the .308 round to the .30-06 round, I atleast was slightly amazed at how big the differences are actually. Prusse, if your course teacher tells you it's safe, tell him that he makes gunsmiths cringe and tell him to get rid of all his firearms. The shoulder diameter on a .308 is much bigger than on a .30-06, therefor you will need to force the round into the chamber, BUT IF YOU HAVE TO USE BRUTE FORCE ON A GUN, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY. The .30-06 however is so long, that it won't chamber, making it obvious that it isn't supposed to be that way. Also, all this talk about .30-06 have reminded of the few people that pronounce it "Three thousand and six" (I've only encountered this is Norway, yet it disturbs me greatly) [editline]14th February 2012[/editline]
So, I passed near an armory today and decided to get a peek inside. (Before any other Norwegian comes in correcting me, this is all based off XXL.no's prices)

Hey HellSoldier, because I know you just got your PAL, you may want to check out Wolverine Supply's subfroum on the CGN forums, they've got a shitload of surplus crap on sale for pretty cheap and they're taking offers for even cheaper. I'd direct you to their website, but I don't think they're advertising it there, but I know they are on CGN. You could get yourself something cheap to start out that's a real gun, not some .22.

Leaving me like an ass.
A new development in the world of "menotbeingabletofindahandgun". There's a gun-show next weekend at the Arizona State Fairgrounds! And I'm actually gonna be there! ... and I just realized that we seem to have a major gun show almost every weekend. :v:

I got to get a job to get some money for a double barrel. Then I got to thinking... Dr. Seuss is awesome and that has nothing to do with me getting a job to get some money to get a double barrel.
