If you insert into the chamber (through the ejection port) you move the pump forwards right away, then continue to load the tube through the loading port.
Or you can load through the loading port, fill it up, pump once, then load another round into the tube.

So is the loading port inaccessible with the pump back usually? Or is the loading port not designed to be used with the pump back?

iirc The loading port will be blocked when the pump is back. The loading assembly will be in the way because its going to load the round.

Mmkay. That's a little easier to code I think.
Thanks for your help fellas

Guess who got some stripper clips!
I have 320 of my original 440 rounds left. I need to go shooting sometime soon.
is the Tantal any good? seems nice and cheap, and i fucking love bakelite
Gentlemen,
I plan on flying up to Michigan soon to visit some friends and family, and I've been told that theres a very nice indoor range that I should try out while I'm there. I'll be taking a plane, so I have to get hard cases for my AK-47 and my Mosin Nagant. I'd also like to bring some ammunition, should I get a hardcase for that or just slap them in a cardboard box? Any recommendations? Anything I need to know about air traveling with firearms?
Some states make a big deal about it and others don't. When I took my handgun with me from Montana to California I dealt with two extremes. In MT I just showed them my case was locked, in California I had to open the case and show them that the gun wasn't loaded. After I showed them the gun wasn't loaded they took my baggage and scanned it with an X-ray machine.

You see that hunky thing? Yeah, that's the FP45 Liberator Pistol, airdropped to french resistance at the end of the war.
Single shot, .45 caliber, and instruction manual that had no words.
They're coming back baby. They too are getting liberated.
I've got blueprints for that thing, totally gonna make one when I get my milling machine.
My .50 rifled pistol barrel came today too:

Already did some filing on the trigger guard:

Yep, they are for his nugget.
They're a custom handload I call .22 super-long rifle. They have almost no felt recoil but can down an elephant in half a shot.

Thought so, with the strippies and all.
Alright gun bros I want some factual accuracy help. I'm working on a shotgun for Receiver and I'd like it to be, well, realistic. I have for a shotgun a Remington 870, pump-action. Anyway, my question relates to reloading
If I am reloading the shotgun, and it's empty in the chamber and empty in the tube, in order to fill it completely, I need to: pump it back, insert a shell into the ejection port to get it into the chamber, and put the rest into the loading port into the mag tube, correct?
And I can insert rounds into the mag tube all I want assuming there is space without pulling the pump back?
[editline]29th June 2012[/editline]
I ask because I've handled many shotguns in my time but they've all been double-barrel or I never loaded the magazine in the pumps :v:
(Warning: Fagpul Video)
Imagine loading into the chamber lke he does at 00:27 but instead of firing just flipping the shotgun so the bottom faces the left and loading the rest into the magazine tube.

Holy crap no wonder Freeman can shoot.
Still think he looks like a young Gerry Adams,

A Winchester 1897 and a Martini-Henry
Need help picking new gun. I already picked out some long range glass and depending on gun I am going to get after market stock.
1) Agree for Remington 700 SPS Tact AAC-SD .308
2) Winner for Howa 1500 .308
3) Informative for Savage 10FpSr-LE .308
4) Late for Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.2 .303
1) because it's a rifle that has potential in long range shooting (remember to get the reciever straightened out)
4) Because awesome.
also where do you live? if in the US i don't see why you would bother getting a threaded rifle
5/8x24 is also a fucking retarded threading just saying
I live in New York. It is legal to get a compensator here without a license.
uhm no
you simply do not purchase a post-2006 rem 700
And why is that?

Lee Enfield.
Do it.
I got my 700 in 2010 and it's working pretty good. it's more accurate than I am at least, and I like to think I'm a pretty good shot. no failures to load or eject either.
because cerberus/freedom group fucked over remington when they bought them?
if you're not a complete idiot you should really avoid it at all costs and rather get something else
The Rem 700 is still one of the best bolt action guns available today.
Cerberus has it's fingers in literally everything.

I like to think most guns aren't inherently shitty, it's just owner negligence that leads to FTEs and FTLs and other stuff
Sure some guns do have known problems, but I haven't read anything about the Remington 700
The only bad thing I read about the R700 is the Walker system fails moderately frequently causing the trigger to fire when the safety is disengaged. Which admittedly is a really terrible flaw.
