can a .22 mag shoot .22lr, ect. safely?
Hell no. They won't even fit in a removable magazine properly. I own the Marlin .22WMR and purchased a box of .22LR by mistake (this is before I knew anything about guns) and attempted to load it into one of the two magazines I had. They wouldn't load properly or fill to capacity because I would insert a round or three and they'd just pop out.
Just wondering, and yes I saw the PMR30, I just wanted to know if .22wmr is a good round or not.
Wait, did you actually FIND a PMR30?

No, they only talked about it in an old Shotgun News article
I want my fucking rpk. I also blew $650 on it so I'm now poor. It better be the greatest gun I'll ever own
I want a SIG P232 or a Walther PPK and a concealed carry permit just for the sake of having it. Not to mention ankle holsters.
finally going shooting for the first time so damn happy
Local gun shop had a US-made Enfield No4 Mk1 for sale. Price was a bit high on it, but it looked good. Wasn't until I looked up ammo for it and passed. :P

US-made Enfield? I wasn't aware we had ever done a run on them.

.303 is so expensive. Sadly, my Enfield is perhaps one of my most accurate rifles.

Savage did a lend-lease production, all were marked "Property of U.S. Government (S)" on them. More rare than other No4s, and more desirable in the U.S. than anywhere else. Naturally, in Canada the most popular are the ones made at our Long Branch Arsenal.
And yeah, .303 is about a buck a shot.
Heh, /k/ made couple of these in the AK recovery thread :v:

Did this guy ever actually get this AK firing again?

Probably blew up in his face and he's in a medically induced coma.

So I take it reloading .303 would definitely be worth it? :v:
came back from shooting
so damn fun
started out with the sks then the .22 ruger to .357 then .44 mag
go big or go home heh

CIA rounded up most of the .303 surplus and sent it to Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation. So it's pretty much reload em yourself or pay $1 a round.
I've got a whole barrel full of once fired .303 brass myself, I just need the dies to reload em. Did a lot of shooting with that rifle before we ran out. What I'd like to do though is make some dies to stamp out my own jackets from copper sheet then pour/swage lead into the hollow rather than buy loose bullets. Too much gun stuff to make.

In Australia, reloading is the only reasonable thing to do. Ammunition is so expensive here, you pay $1.50 a round for .303 British, 80c-$1.20 for surplus 7.62x51mm, everything else is massively overpriced. The only thing that is cheap is 7.62x54r for some Bulgarian 1980s stuff.
So yea, pretty much everyone that shoots regularly reloads
I get the feeling that 7.62x54r is cheap everywhere that isn't embargoed or some shit :v:
I am being offered a Remmington 700 with a badass scope, bag and 150 rounds of 30-06 for $600. Never been fired. Good deal or no?

Depends on the year the rifle was made/model and what kind of scope it is.

No 500S&W?
Just kidding, fuck that I'm too much of a pussy to shoot that.
Depends on the year the rifle was made/model and what kind of scope it is.
Well I'm told it goes for $1200 new....
How much recoil is in a .40S&W? I'm a small guy, and I've only fired .22, 9mm, and a 38 Special.

Depends on how heavy the weapon is.

As stated it all depends on the weight of the pistol as well as things such as porting.
In my opinion I found it to be a bit sharp, especially with the polymer guns such as the USP .40 and S&W Sigma. Then again I'm a .45 guy, which has a harder kick but isn't nearly as sharp.
I've always been a Hi-Power fan, and I don't know why, it just feels right

Browning does make good weapons...

That doesn't help at all, we need more info on it than that.
What make is the scope, what model, what caliber is the rifle?
It's not like we all know "OHhh, that's the derpmington 700 Pr0-mlgsniper-tactical rifle with the supahzoom scope that was only sold in Texas for 1200 USD"
Every store can price a gun for 1200 $, have fool buy it and tell to the next customer that "this rifle goes for 1200$, but I'll give you a special price"

Chambered in 30-06, Not the 700P version. I would imagine it's 30-40 years old since it was this guy's uncle, (The guy who is selling it to me is about 50 himself, so it's gotta be kinda old)... The thing was never shot, all wood and in perfect shape.
Thinking about one of those new Carcal pistols... same guy who came up with it worked for Glock then Steyr. Maybe if I come into some money. In case no one knows what it is: http://www.impactguns.com/caracal-model-c-9mm-quick-aquistion-sights-15-rnd-mags-c1qs9011.aspx
