If you want a SHTF weapon, get something in 7.62x51 or x54.
Already have a Mosin. No scope.
Two questions...
What's a good camera for taking pictures?[need to take some pics of my Gew98]
Is it okay to use backpacks as small game bags?
What sort of quality do you want?
I have the camera in my phone for quick n dirty stuff, and I've got my multi hundred dollar Nikon setup for more professional looking photos...
I'm looking for a gamebag which could be used for holding rabbit and dove. I would like to have an overarm bag or just a simple vest, but whatever is durable and can deal with hot summers and very cold winters.

might wanna get somethin semi-auto instead of bolt action if you're scared mutants or bandits are going to be raiding your home.
me and some friends found some gun shop in town i didnt even know existed and its only got like 15 guns but they're all super cheap. my friend wants to add to his collection and the best stuff they have is 30-30 Marlin lever action for $400, mossberg 500 combat shotgun for $300 and a bushmaster AR M16A2 for $650
hes real interested in the m16 and i wanna know if you guys think he should get it or not. i know i posted earlier about ARs sucking dick but I know bushmaster is quality and ive never seen a bushmaster under $800

Already have an AK... Just takes single stack mags though. Not afraid of what you said. Apparently you don't know what being prepared is. Which is a different conversation from this thread.
Sell the Zastava, buy a Molot?
Sell the Zastava, buy a Molot?
Or buy an AR and a scope mount for the Mosin? I dunno...
If you're getting an AR for "lel shtf n da obamas" then I'd actually get two uppers.
One carbine length with an Aimpoint or Zeiss Z-Point, as well as a rifle length with a silencer and a 3-12x42 or x56 scope, either an S&B or a Zeiss.
So if anyone wants to read the letter I sent to that bullet ban councillor, and CCed the rest of the city's politicians, including the mayor, here it is:

That's actually an incredibly well written letter.

I know the difference, we've had this discussion before. Lets not delve back into it.

Solid shooter, amazingly accurate as well. Surprisingly decent for CC too. I'd highly encourage anyone that can get their hands on one to snatch it up first chance they get.
This may be a stupid question but why is 12 inches the FBI minimum penetration in defensive loads. I measured the thickness of my chest and it was only 8 inches, 12 seems like a bit overkill.

Shooting through light cover.

also b/c not everything in your chest is the same consistency as flesh, like ribs or etc.

You can put doves in your backpack. Just open them up, take out their intestines and other organs, fill the cavity with pine needles or such, then wrap them in newspaper and put them in your pack.

Already have. It's my grandfather's, assembled around 1960 or so. It continues to work like a champ.
So, last night I went to my boyfriends cousins house. He pulled out a few military rifles and this sexy desert eagle I'm holding. I could barely pull the thing back. Very heavy, huge barrel and bullets.
He wouldnt let me take any pictures of the other guns.

sorry for the "gangsterish" pose.
Desert Eagles are such rubbish, but they look so cool.
I only wish a Hi Power had a beavertail safety more along the lines of a 1911. Don't know if anyone else has this issue but it bites the web of my hand (also have know idea if they make an aftermarket part or if there is a hi power with on installed). Otherwise it would be one of my top choices.

Really expensive paper weights.
I still can't see the appeal of a desert eagle.

I like how sleek it is. The design is very sexy but other than that, :/

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST that's an enormous handgun.
I can't imagine accurately firing that thing because of how front-heavy that monster looks.

That would lessen recoil, would it not?
