Hell, I've been debating one because up here they've got a 12" barrel and are still non-restricted, and Nornico tends to actually send products of a surprisingly high quality and reliability to Canada, their M14s, 1911s, and AR-15 M4 knockoffs are very well reputed for their accuracy and reliability, the only thing people complain about is the finish. Well, that and it's only $260.
is there anything particularly wrong with chinese type53(M44)s?
its chinese [editline]17th July 2012[/editline] i would never own anything norinco
I like how you fail to mention I'm getting a full refund and didn't have to pay to ship it back. [editline]17th July 2012[/editline] No actually I found out it was because some other member of the forum with a grudge for no reason specifically worked with a mod to get a perma. (User was permabanned for this post ("No your history speaks for itself - Alt of permabanned user" - Craptasket))
Wait, no. Not you. Does anyone remember the guy I was talking about? he was a firearms thread regular and got banned about a year or more ago...
You guys remember Ven Kaeo, a.ka the guy that always got supermad whenever I said something? I recall telling him to not buy a Norinco shotgun, and guess what happened..
Ven Kaeo? I know that guy! He used to hang around the MS paint section when there was a 'Picture Wars'. I made him an 'army' (bunch of sprites that fight each other, really cool! :v:). Long story short, he got butmad over and over again and left. [editline]18th July 2012[/editline] Oh god offtopic im sorry
He also posted a lot in Working Retail if I'm not mistaken. Basically told people that no one had the right to complain about anything and his job was bad, unless that was someone else with the same avatar. Where do you get your mauser ammo, Kommrad? The gun store here is horribly overpriced from what I've heard. Their black powder 50 display is pretty cool though.

So I dont have to buy any yet. Thank god for that too, the gun stores here are pretty damn expensive.
Yep, the guy that runs the one down by Walmart is a jerk too from what my dad has told me. I wish I would've gotten a k98 instead of a Mosin but the price wasn't there.

The dude that regularly bought 3000 dollar rifles and had all of his handguns in odd calibers (.460 Rowland, .45 GAP, etc), which automatically made him the best.

I talk to him regularly. His newer stuff is not as mind bogglingly exotic but still darn awesome.

But trying to put a lot of rounds downrange is a bitch when all you have is one slightly wonky stripper clip that you insist on using.
A guy owes me $300 from last summer. Been a pain in the ass to get payment from him. Finally today he says he can't afford it, had to borrow cash from family last week (after posting today about trying to buy 1911 mags on armslist) and offers me 400 rounds of .30 carbine instead. Gonna have to take that, I think.
I got a guy that's owed me $450 since 2004, maybe I can get a bunch of shit off him

So guys, I just started my first long range build other than a 50 cal (already completed that, picked up a Barrett a while back.) Does 300 Win Mag sound suitable? I was able to get 60 Georgia Arms for 40$ (165 Gr, ballistic tip and 3100 FPS,) so I have to build one now :v:
300 win mag isn't a bad round, but I'm partial to .270 Winchester for long range stuff.

I can't see 270 being a good long range round. Not enough weight behind it. 300win mag or something in 338 would be good
I've got this odd hard-on for .338 lapua. No clue why.
I've got this odd hard-on for .338 lapua. No clue why.
Fun but extremely expensive. .300 WM is bad enough.
Fun but extremely expensive. .300 WM is bad enough.
In Australia, the only time I've ever seen it for sale was at about $10 a round
I can't see 270 being a good long range round. Not enough weight behind it. 300win mag or something in 338 would be good
oh no what does any of this mean
.338 lapua magnum, .338 norma magnum and .308 norma magnum (in that order) are easily the best long range rounds available on the market today
oh no what does any of this mean
Boolet dimensions/size
.308 is an absolutely fantastic general purpose round.
I reckon you're talking about .308 Winchester/7,62x51? It does have its disadvantages at longer ranges, though.
.308 is an absolutely fantastic general purpose round.
You really can't go wrong with .308, if you can afford it, it's great.
I can't see 270 being a good long range round. Not enough weight behind it. 300win mag or something in 338 would be good
it's supposed to have a really good ballistic coefficient. I think the people at sniper's hide are pretty big advocates of .270
