Now here's an interesting question: Is anyone here an FFL? I'd really like to get into the business of selling some nice pieces of history, but I'm not too sure how to go about becoming one, and how old I need to be to do so. I get the feeling the age requirement is 21 because of handguns and such, which means I'd have to wait two years.
I remember someone's dad here being an FFL holder, they had a whole lot of full auto dealers samples. Though he may have been bullshitting
I just look at those full crates of Nagants that classic arms has and I keep thinking to myself what fun it would be to sell those puppies.
My Soviet Makarov PM, caliber: 9x18PM, Izhmash-1991 with custom rubber universal KWA grip. It has it's own story, it was used in our police here, then it was sent to the firearms store, where i bought it. : Our police sometimes sell their firearms as used to the firearms shops, where it is being sold to civilians. Also, it has 3 kills in it. In 1993, 1995 and 1999. Police had to shoot the criminals with this gun. I bought it in 2010 when came home from army and got the pistols licence.
nice airsoft grip on a real pistol

First time posting my gun in this thread. 1952 Dated 12 Gauge Browning Auto 5 passed down from my grandfather to my father to me. (Still shoots like a dream, dat long action recoil yo) And a Beretta, not sure what model, this one is my fathers. (I'm on the right, hit easily 80% of the clays, which is better than more than half of the "regulars" that were there.) Since I wasn't a member they wouldn't let me put all five shells in the gun, had to do it one shell at a time. Oh well.

But the bottom 4 images aren't from an Auto-5 [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] Also, we have a nice biased article from the batman shooting
THE military-style assault rifle used to gun down Batman moviegoers in Colorado malfunctioned inside the cinema - possibly sparing more carnage, as video emerged of him as an 18-year-old at a science camp.A law enforcement official said the rifle had a high-capacity ammunition magazine and that it jammed, forcing massacre suspect James Holmes to switch to another weapon.Aurora police chief Dan Oates has said a 100-round drum magazine was recovered at the scene of the shooting in suburban Denver. Oates said such a weapon would be able to fire 50 to 60 rounds a minute.Police say Holmes also had two Glock pistols and a shotgun.News of how much ammunition he had comes as a video has emerged of Holmes as a science camp at age 18.During the attack, Holmes set off gas canisters and used the military-style semiautomatic rifle, a shotgun and a pistol to open fire on the unsuspecting theater-goers, Oates said.Holmes had bought the weapons at local gun stores in the past two months. He recently purchased 6,000 rounds of ammunition over the Internet, the chief said.He also bought an urban assault vest, two magazine holders and a knife for just over $300 on July 2 from an online supplier of tactical gear for police and military personnel, according to the company.Chad Wein man, CEO of TacticalGear.com, said his company processes thousands of orders each day, and there was nothing unusual in the one that Holmes placed. He planned the attack with "calculation and deliberation", police said, receiving deliveries for months which authorities believe armed him for battle and were used to rig his apartment with dozens of bombs. In other developments:-Guards at the prison where Holmes is being held before a court appearance due later on Monday say he is still acting out his "Joker" persona behind bars.-President Barack Obama touches down in Colorado to meet with victims' families.-Holmes applied to join a gun club last month but never became a member because of his behaviour and a "bizarre'' message on his voice mail greeting.A video emerges of Holmes age 18 talking at a science seminarHolmes, 24, applied to join a Colorado gun range last month but never became a member because of his behavior and a ``bizarre'' message on his voice mail greeting, the range's owner said Sunday. He emailed an application to join the Lead Valley Range in Byers on June 25 in which he said he was not a user of illegal drugs o r a convicted felon, said owner Glenn Rotkovich. But when Rotkovich called to invite him to a mandatory orientation the following week, he said he heard Holmes' voice mail greeting that was "bizarre - guttural, freakish at best."It identified the number as belonging to "James,'' so Rotkovich said he left a message. He left two other messages but eventually told his staff to watch out for Holmes at the July 1 orientation and not to accept him into the club, Rotkovich said. His comments were first reported by Fox News.
http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/world/lives-saved-when-batman-movie-killers-gun-jammed/story-fnd12peo-1226432417627 [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] Not to mention dumb
Man if any gun control comes from the stupid gang shit happening in Toronto I will... fuck I can't even think of something witty to say I'm just pissed as hell.
I'm writing a letter to McGuinty, and I plan on writing one to the idiot Ontario Attorney General, some fucking lawyer who said handgun shooters should "Find a different hobby," and maybe the Prime Minister. None of them will listen and care, which is why I'm debating sending it to Sun News as well, see if they'll publish it. A handgun ban won't happen with the Tories in power, but if the Grits or the Dippers ever get in it'll be priority #1. 2015, beware.
In two hours I'll be legally 18. Rifles and shotgun purchases under my name... Feels kinda weird.
In two hours I'll be legally 18. Rifles and shotgun purchases under my name... Felt like an idiot after that.
In two hours I'll be legally 18. Rifles and shotgun purchases under my name... Feels kinda weird.
Whenever I turned 17, I received a mosin nagant for my birthday. When I turned 18, I purchased myself a Saiga conversion that I posted in here a while back. Whenever I turn 19, my parents are going to buy me a handgun for home defense purposes.

I know you have to be 21 to buy a handgun, but if I get someone whos over 21 to buy it for me can I own it without the police getting pissy at me? or do I have to be 21 to own it too.

In my state of Virginia, you need to be 21 to purchase handguns, but if you receive one for your birthday, then you can open carry it when you're 18.

But the chances of finding someone willing to do that is slim to none.
What about in Georgia?
From I understand based on what I'm reading you can own one. The catch is it needs to be your parents or legal guardian giving it to you. Anyone else is committing a misdemeanor. Unless that has changed. Check out opencarry.org's forums' Georgia section, they usually have some sort of thread pertaining to that topic.
