I've fired a full auto Steyr AUG, on semi....
I fired 5 rounds on full auto... felt like one round was fired. [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] I know that Russian weapons are shit quality, but I still love the way they look. They why getting a Romanian or Finnish one instead is a better idea, because they have the Russian look, but the good quality.
I really want to buy a mini-14 but I apparently gun shows have all gone to shit and I was able to find only one, for a price way higher than it should have been, and not the ranch one or whatever. Where can I get one as cheap as possible?

Online would probably be your best bet if you've already checked local gun stores.
Have you tried gunbroker?
I'm going to check around a couple stores before placing a bid. Also @Mr. Bleak the one I found at the show was the tactical version and it's just nasty compared to the nice wood. I'd get the 30 but again the nice wood and finish are just so appealing.

Working in a gun store is getting to be very unhealthy for my wallet...
Hnnnggggggg
And I live in Arizona. I guess I know what I'm going to next year :v:
You lucky bastard, I just bought a Leatherman Wave on Amazon last week and I'm pretty sure even that it's illegal to own where I live. By the way, how many of you guys have actually fired a true fully automatic weapon? I just came to wonder, because since you are not allowed to own them(mostly), how many of you actually go to range days to fire weapons you otherwise don't have the opportunity to shoot. Also, you really should read the book "The Gun" about the invention of automatic firearms and the impact it made on warfare. It's by Pulitzer price winner and former Marine, C. J. Chivers and most definately worth a read.
I fired the SAW, M240, and .50cal full auto at both short and far ranges. It surprised me at first, because It looks like your compensating the gun to stay on target, but when you look at the targets, the shots are all over the place. Looks like someone tried to shoot buckshot cross-eyed. Still good fun, especially when firing the 240 and saw from the hip, 'Rambo' style.
Working in a gun store is getting to be very unhealthy for my wallet...
So you're paid in handguns?
No one ever pays me in guns :c
Hmmhm
Working at a gun store? I thought no one would ever beat my dream for a starting job, which would be working at something like gamestop or so. (yea, not that great, but back then I used to think being surrounded by video games would be cool, kinda like working at a toy store)
I wouldn't want to work in a gun store for the same reason I wouldn't want to work at a computer store...People are stupid.
Damn, I have been looking around for a SGL 31-61 or any Arsenal Ak-74 and they are a real pain to find these days. It's funny too, considering their manufacturing/assembly building is based in my city... anyways, at this point, anyone know what would be good alternatives to an Arsenal Ak-74? I have been looking at Waffen Werks hmm. (It also seems all the surplus 5.45x39 got all sold out in the last two months all of a sudden online.)

I believe they have AK74 rifles. The AK47 I have is very sturdy and well built. It might be worth checking out.

The 5.45 in polymer.
My new AK with it's "brother" the AR
I gotta say, I really like the look for that AR15.
Palmetto?
Looks like PSA's rollmark to me.
Yes, Palmetto. Can you tell I like Olive Drab?
Yep!
Are Norinco SKSes bad? One of my local gun shops has like 25 different ones so I can always inspect until I find the best one.
Are Norinco SKSes bad? One of my local gun shops has like 25 different ones so I can always inspect until I find the best one.
I thought you Americans couldn't have Norico stuff
anyone know a half decent scope mount with a picatinny on top? I'm thinking mounting red dot on top of a good scope might be a wonderful idea
I thought you Americans couldn't have Norico stuff
I don't know, every single SKS this store has is labeled as Norinco. I didn't have enough time to actually check for markings but the tags said Norinco.

However, Norinco were the ones that manufactured the sks for the chinese during the late 40's through the 50's. We had plenty of surplus head our way.
