So are they good for $350-400? I thought that seemed a bit steep personally, but I haven't really researched the price of an SKS before.
Are Norinco SKSes bad? One of my local gun shops has like 25 different ones so I can always inspect until I find the best one.
I've got a Norinco Paratrooper SKS and I love it. Although I'm stuck on finding the shortened bayonets for them. I can't find any in stock.
So you're paid in handguns?
Nope, even worse. In crates of mosins.

If it's an SKS-D or an M model snatch it up since they were redesigned with ak mags in mind and are really the only version of the rifle that will feed properly from those mags a majority of the time.
Alright, I'll probably hop on one of those soon.
I wouldn't want to work in a gun store for the same reason I wouldn't want to work at a computer store...People are stupid.
Was at one of the local gun stores shopping for AR bite and holsters and hear: "Excuse me, but what size of bullet does this 9mm fire?" *guy points at a 9mm pistol*
Fuck that's pricey, Russian ones here go for $180, and Chinese for anywhere from $75+ammo to $220.
Where do you live, again?
anyone know a half decent scope mount with a picatinny on top? I'm thinking mounting red dot on top of a good scope might be a wonderful idea
Burris AR-PEPR
Where do you live, again?
He's from the land of moose and maple syrup.
lucky fuck do you have tax stamps for SBRs and SBSs over there? i don't care much for pistols and i like how canada has a system that works add that to your arms trade with russia and i might really want to fucking go there
He's from the land of moose and maple syrup.
Well no wonder, they've got a shit ton of guns and only 10 people can own them
Burris AR-PEPR
I've heard great things about those but they're a little pricy. it'll be going on a 5.56x45, so it's not like it'll be dealing with 338 lapua magnum type recoil or anything. I might end up using an offset adapter and hanging the dot off the side like those goofy hybrid sights on the RSASS in MW3

That's actually pretty well done for what it is.

I hate the goddamn handgun laws here. Getting to own multiple handguns in the same calibre is very hard and pretty much only possible for one extra handgun.. meaning that you're fucked if you want a Beretta 90-Two, G17, H&K USP and Cz 75 at the same time.
Yeah I've seen pictures of lots of those kinds of SMGs, that and the Luty SMG. I drew up a .45 ACP SMG based on a Thompson, Sten and Greasegun, estimated it would cost less than $100 in materials and take about 2 weeks to make from scratch. Course I'll wait till the day when the NFA and Hughes Amendment get thrown in the trash where they belong before I build one. Very very little milling involved in making one though, most of it is all bending and forming, and most of the gun could be made of 1018 mild steel. Only part that really need be made from 5160 is the barrel, the remainder such as the springs could be made from 1075 or 1095.

[editline]2nd August 2012[/editline] You could always get a .40 glock atleast.
Sure I could get the USP in .40S&W or .45ACP and the Glock in .357 Sig Sauer, .40S&W, .45GAP, .45ACP or 10mm Auto, but all the ones that aren't .45 ACP are rare as fuck and brass + bullets are expensive. Shooting at least 100-200 rounds per competition would get pricey incredibly fast.
True.. It's pretty weird how we have this limitation on handguns though, seeing as shotguns and hunting rifles are plenty accessible. It's not like owning five 9mm pistols are going to make you a better criminal than owning one. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline] Couldn't one get them czehcked as collector's items??
It's really weird, especially when the limiting on hunting rifles disappeared some years ago (for you that don't know, you couldn't get two rifles in similar cartridges. E.g. 7,62x39 and .308Win). I have no clue what the purpose it, as owning five 9x19 Para pistols is just as "dangerous" as owning one 9x19, one 10mm Auto, two .45ACPs and a .357 sig. And you probably could, but that process is VERY long and you have to specify your collecting field, e.g. "pistols manufactured in Germany after 1975". You wouldn't get to shoot them more than like once two or three times a decade.. they're VERY strict about that and if you get caught firing them whilst not at one of the collector's organization's meetings, you can get them confiscated and end up with a sick fine.
Handgun laws are funny like that, even in the US. As an 18 year old I can walk into a gun shop and walk out with an AK-47, AR-15, FAL, and a barret anti-material rifle, but I can't buy a handgun until I turn 21.
It's ridiculous. Any norwegian 16 year old that has passed the hunting course and has a clean record can buy a Barrett M98B, Sako TRG-42 or Molot Vepr, but a .22LR match pistol, even at the age of 18, 19 or 20? NOPE
Easier to rob a convience store with a handgun. Although, I'd be more epic to take out the store clerk from a mile away with the m98 and avoid the hassle.
If someone wanted to rob a store they'd get an illegal handgun. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline] Being a member of a club for half a year and going shooting every week isn't something you'd do if you feel like shooting up your next door Shell or 7/11.
