There's a .45-70 double-barrel side-by-side rifle from Baikal at my store, it's going for $750. Thing was so stiff when we first got it in, we thought we put it together wrong because it wouldn't break, we had to open and close it using the floor as a solid thing to hold it against to help with leverage.

I will buy it. And pay you in small amounts of copper wire over the course of forty three years.
I really want a .450 Marlin carbine/brush gun
Ruger Alaskan in .454 Casull... me likely.
All these weird calibers @_@
welp, went camping and shot my mosin.
it is sex.
Is it normal for the barrel to get very hot very quickly though?
And I ended up buying some other solvent anyway.

Well in all my Mosin experience the tend to get fairly warm near the barrel cause the wood is thinner their (and it's, ya know, the barrel)... depends how fast you shoot it.
I also saw a 308 Lever gun, and I know that Browning makes on with a mag (saw one of those two) but this was a tube fed 308 lever gun... I thought that was odd but then the owner was like yeah but all you got to do is use round nose and those leverevolution rounds... would suck to load Spitzer 308 and have the damn thing fall and launch some six rounds out the tube at once!
Imagine if it was magazine-fed then. Ooooooh my.

Browning actually does that... they also do a 30-06 version and a .223 IIRCC.

It's called the BLR, Browning Lever Rifle. My store has them in .30-06 and .308.
Lever actions are fun. Got a Marlin 336 and a Henry .22.
They also come in .357 or .44.
while we're on the subject of browning levers, my dad was telling be about one that you dont even need to take your hand off the rifle, you just extend your fingers and it cycles a new bullet?
So like i never actually realized how fucking cheap nuggets are.
Maybe i shall follow the path of the true kommando and get a nugget first.
unfortunately i didnt look at the nuggets at the gunshow, i saw them but i didnt look

If your fingers are that long, yeah that works fine.
On the subject of .45-70s, my dad recently picked up a Marlin Guide rifle (I'm not sure of exact model number). Thing is an absolute blast. I'll have to see if he'll let me get some pictures of it.
There's just something about lever actions that makes using them so much more fun.

Ya, that's called a semi auto rifle.
my dad hates everything that isnt a bolt action.
Which is not a problem since you can only get double barrel shotguns, pump action rifles, lever action rifles, and bolt actions.
Semi's as well except they're such a pain in the ass to get that no one bothers.
and of course there are pistols but you're only allowed to use them at certified pistol ranges and no where else.
Fuck this country has annoying gun laws.
Aus? If so I feel you bro.
Semi-auto if you live on a farm, or are a professinal trap shooter
I've re-wakened my itch for drillings again, now I'm currently obsessed with the M30 Luftwaffe survival drilling.

I said earlier that I bought a Beretta 92F and never posted a picture of it. Well, here it is. Surrounded by other stuff I posted for a different reason in another thread. I put 100 rounds through it yesterday and never had one malfunction. Beautiful pistol, shoots great. Cleaned it good (because we were using pretty nasty ammo) and it's back in its holster.
Also no, it's not loaded.
I want a semi-auto carbine in .950
Because I don't need a fucking shoulder.
Excellent weather for a day out shooting... unfortunatly my friend with the firepower didn't go but we still got some 9mm and .22lr in. And I learned today that hitting a 00 Buck shell in the primer with a .22 is quite the task.
I still can't get the bayonet on my Nugget. The bayonet is cosmoline-free. I liberally coated it with oil hoping it would slide nice and easily on, but that didn't work. I think I'm just gonna give up on it.

You're doing it wrong.

Always worked for me, you must be doing something wrong...?
Push the bayo down so the spring is in tension, then give it a twist, Click
Didn't go shooting today. Washed and detailed the car, and sold some gun stuff around town.
I guess the range nearby brought out their M2, though, because I could hear far off booms all day :D
