I'll have to ask him guys, Sorry if he doesn't though. He prefers to keep it local is what he said but he's trying to figure out some stuff. He'll call me back with a decision later.
it had a detachable magazine? most SKSes have fixed magazines.
Looks like they based the entire list off of watching their kids play call of duty.
Nope, definitely 90s action movies. Where else are you going to see an FN FNC (HEAT) or a full auto shotgun (Robocop)?
why an FNC that's like the most obscure thing to ever come out of belgium
I've literally never seen a real-steel FNC stateside.
Nope, definitely 90s action movies. I've seen two of the non-automatic civilian ones, never a proper one though
I think the Semi-only FNC's are rarer than the Class 3 NFA registered ones ironically [editline]27th August 2012[/editline] Believe me I've looked for them
I'm aware. I saw both of the semi-auto FNCs at a gun show a few years back. It's nearly impossible to sell automatics at gun shows, so I guess they just brought out the semis
I think the issue was that there were/are more registered trigger packs than there were rifles to be converted
I will literally never understand Australian gun laws, and its the unfortunate reason as to why I will never be moving to the Great Down-Under. Its like you live in the American south-west but you inherited the Commonwealth laws.
It's because some mentally disabled guy shot up Port Arthur with an L1A1 SLR and AR-15 back in '96, killing 35 people, so they banned everything.
It's because some mentally disabled guy shot up Port Arthur with an L1A1 SLR and AR-15 back in '96, killing 35 people, so they banned everything.
Yeap always one cunt ruining it for everyone.
It's because some mentally disabled guy shot up Port Arthur with an L1A1 SLR and AR-15 back in '96, killing 35 people, so they banned everything.
Apparently he had a pumpaction shotgun in his car boot, so while they were at it they banned them too
I wonder if the laws will ever go back, im guessing not
I wonder if the laws will ever go back, im guessing not
I think we could get them back. But we would need money for a large advertising campaign. The thing is, the statistics published by our government show violent crime rised a little bit after the buyback. We have science and data on our side. Problem is that the SSAA (sorta like our version of the NRA, but not completely apeshit) are more focuses on protecting what rights we have left, than fighting for new one. They just don't have the money for it, they should double their membership fee to raise money for this cause What's worse is that Martin Bryant didn't even have a gun licence, nor could he have gotten one if he applied. Didn't stop him though http://www.aic.gov.au/en/publications/current%20series/tandi/361-380/tandi361/view%20paper.aspx
So, they banned legal things, despite the killer using criminal ways to get his guns? Sounds like what they thought about here in Norway, but turned down due to being illogical.
So, they banned legal things, despite the killer using criminal ways to get his guns? Sounds like what they thought about here in Norway, but turned down due to being illogical.
At the time, Tasmania had the weakest firearms legislation in the country. They had no registration system, all you did was show your licence and you could buy a gun. But, some gun dealer decided to forgo that part and sold Martin Bryant his guns without a licence (and apparently he ripped him off too, seeing as Bryant was mentally retarded he probably got away with it). Basicly if they had registration then that dealer wouldn't have been able to sell his guns illegally without getting caught. Every other state had registration (except Queensland)
Registration makes sense. BAN FUCKING EVERYTHING does not.
Registration makes sense. BAN FUCKING EVERYTHING does not.
Agreed. I blame the lack of registration for Port Arthur, and a mentally retarded person with a gun
We just abolished the long gun registry because it doesn't make sense, it's absolutely useless, has never solved a single crime, gave the government a shopping-list for banning things, made confiscation easier, and wasted $2 BILLION since it started in 1995, not to mention compliance was estimated to be 50% at best and people registered their HAIR DRYERS just to showcase how stupid and inaccurate the registry was. Registries do absolutely nothing beneficial, they never work the way they're supposed to, they waste money, they're oppressive and invasive, violating the privacy of gun owners, and they're a colossal waste of money. Never for one minute let someone tell you registration helps, that dealer could have sold the guns and reported them stolen to the registrar, if the dealer had ill intent to sell the guns illegally, then regardless of the law he would have, they'd just have another charge to slap him with in the end.
While on the topic of dumb gun laws, why do you have to be 21 in the US to buy a handgun, but at 18, I can buy an AK-47?
We're likely to have some bans here in the US after the election given the Aurora shooting. The stupid thing is it all came down to the dealers not doing their job and not doing the background check. Not that I see a need for anyone to have a 100 round drum for their AR, it just sucks that dumbshits like that are giving the government and the anti-gun lobby power to ban things.
While on the topic of dumb gun laws, why do you have to be 21 in the US to buy a handgun, but at 18, I can buy an AK-47?
Concealment. At least that's what the PD told me when I asked them the same question. Arguably you could buy a long gun and cut it down to a concealable size and have quite a bit more destructive power, but we don't mention that. You can buy handguns in private sales at 18 though.
While on the topic of dumb gun laws, why do you have to be 21 in the US to buy a handgun, but at 18, I can buy an AK-47?
Handguns are concealable, and 99% of gun crime is committed with handguns. It's just another stupid restriction because of stupid people. [editline]28th August 2012[/editline] shit ninja'd
I don't get how waiting an extra 3 years makes me less likely to illegally conceal a handgun, but whatever, I can always get a friend to pick one up for me if I ever want one.
Man, every time you guys have a debate/discussion on gun control laws I just sit back, smile to myself, and sigh dreamily "ahh, Arizona"
Man, every time you guys have a debate/discussion on gun control laws I just sit back, smile to myself, and sigh dreamily "ahh, Arizona"
Don't worry, Arizona has stupid laws too.
Don't worry, Arizona has stupid laws too.
... I don't think I should warrant that with a response. Mostly because the truth hurts. Alot :v: This state is fucking insane.
I am considering to buy a Nagant Revolver, is there anything I should know about them before I buy one? Also, is ammo usually readily available, or should I buy some up when I buy the gun, like how people stock 7.62x54R?
