I don't see why it wouldn't be
I wonder if it is legal to make ammo in Washington.
legal everywhere
yeah .300 win mag is a killer for sure
sharpest kick I ever got was out of a ruger #3 spitting out a hot 500 grain .45-70. felt like at least two .30-06s
Was your hot load by any chance Buffalo Bore? That shit is insane. The factory loaded stuff is alright though, not a shoot all day gun but by no means horrible.
From what I gathered it was a handload. He said 500 grain bullet on 75 grains of black powder. way overpressure, if it were my gun I wouldn't have risked it
How many times have we been throught this recoil debate? Especially 7.62.
Not sure of the year, it's made by Plainfield Machine, who made em from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. It's got the upgraded rear sight, heat shield upper handguard and a bayonet lug.

Get an M1 Garand to add your collection of guns that look like the M1 Garand.
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
Wow the heat shield on the M1 Carbine is downright attractive.
Was watching the Band of Brothers marathon on Monday. Garand is definitely on my list...
I keep thinking I want to get a WWII full wood stock set for the gun, but yeah, the metal handguard does kind of look good on the gun...

Its a good looking gun imo. Love it..
Really want to get my one of them, along with a M1 Grand, and M14.
Funny how I can get imported guns way cheaper than any American gun I want
Probably because we make quality ;)

With assuming you shooting it relativley often, does the block start to get comfertable at all? I've put a mag through one my self and it hurt a little haha. And it was only a 9mm, when I usually shoot .45's
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
With every one going crazy about the carbine it just makes me want this http://www.eabco.com/m1_carbine_ruger_1022_tribute.htm even more.
i want to get a ruger 10/22 and have like a million body kits for it
"is today more of a G36 day or a M1 Carbine day"

I think it's more of a case of Supply & Demand. American and European manufacturers usually build "just enough" weapons, while the Eastern bloc goes "LET'S BUILD BAZILLIONS OF THESE THINGS, COMRADE".
buttsex I'm sure you've already said it but how much did you pay for that M1A?
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
because it's pretty as fuck

Also brought this cutie shooting the other day, it was a lovely experience, definitely my favorite shotgun I own.

You can get one through the CMP for around $625. Sure it might not be all numbers matching but it's a Garand.

Yeah, but right now I have less than $20 to my name. I've put my shotgun up for sale, and a friend should be buying my AR soon. But the cash for both will probably be going to a new car. Mine was totalled in May.

Question: Can you fit other pistol grips than the BG-16 on an MK14 like this? I've only ever seen it with the BG-16 in pictures.
Looks like it'll take any AR-15 pistol grip.
So I've been getting to know Umenat a little more, and he's actually not a terrible person. Knowledgeable, if not a bit irresponsible. No idea why he was trolling this thread. Probably bored.
He's still a dipshit. Why would you even talk to him. I had to block him because he kept harassing me over steam.

He kept calling me faggot but I ignored it and started talking to him about real shit, and since then, he hasn't been pestilent.
His, uh, behavior is a little immature, but beyond that my opinion on him has changed.

After I got messages like these on my steam profile, I didn't feel compelled to talk to him anymore.

Don't know why you're asking me that's someone else who keeps posting about their m1a. As much add if like to have a good American semi-auto .308, I don't.
Ridge was the one with the awesome M1A (I own one too, but I don't have it decked out like Ridge does, just a bipod and an aimpoint). I paid about grand for mine.

I paid $800 for my M1A.

It always upsets me when I see potentially beautiful rifles that some sick bastard chopped the stock and "sporterized" it. Looks like someone "liberated" the original rear sight as well.

Also, outdoors and natural lighting
Yeah... I really want to try to refurbish it back to it's former glory.
Edit:
Numrich Gunparts Estimate:
$150 + Shipping to refurbish my Gew to former glory.
So... I am currently thinking of getting a .45lc conversion cylinder for my 1858 New Model Army.
