Barrel launched grenade? In 2012??
Still very common, we have M203's for the Styer but we also have a load of rifle grenades for them too, they are really handy.
Barrel launched grenade? In 2012??
I imagine its easier to lug around the grenades plus a mag full of blanks than it is to lug around a grenade launcher attached to your rifle, as well as its grenades. Especially if you are only carrying a few grenades. Could also then make use of other underbarrel attachments, like a grip or a shotgun or something. (Also rifle grenades are cool.)

There are different types of barrel launched grenades too, and I'd say that those are faster to reload than a m203 or a m320. I'd say that barrellaunched grenades might as well be just as efficient. Only downside I see is the need for blanks for many types of the riflegrenades.

It's a good shooter, but I like my other guns more.

I have a Winchester Model 12 in 20 Gauge. Anyone know what ammunition would be appropriate for it? I was never good at the logistics of firearms, I've fired plenty but usually it was with my Grandfather whom provided ammunition so now that I have my own I'm kind of lost on what I can run through my shotgun.
holy shit the sling loops (not sure if thats the right term) on my enfield ripped open a sandbag. jesus christ, fuck bayonets, I'll stab things with my sling loops.

I don't think they've developed more powerful loads for shotgun rounds like they have for calibers like .30-06 and the like...

And it doesn't touch the barrel either.
Says specifically lead, copper. Steel will damage the choke.
Only the alpha stuff, though.
Coming this summer: Me doing redneck sexytime poses on my truck with guns because south jersey.
the shot does not touch the barrel in any way it's in a plastic cup [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] it's a marketing scheme for people who think steel will ruin your shotgun and kill your grandmother steel is loaded to higher pressures and can damage the structure of the barrel, but the steel itself doesn't do any damage "wow, it says lead, copper and wolfram only? man, i need to buy some expensive wolfram cartridges, then!"
Then what the fuck is the purpose of a choke? That's a Mossberg CHOKE, which controls SHOT SPREAD, meaning shot has to fucking HIT IT AT SOME POINT to be controlled, inside or outside of the wad, the pellets and choke apply force against each other. Generally, steel will dent the choke unless it is made for and says "STEEL SHOT" on it somewhere, as the steel hits the choke, or when it tries to push the hard steel inside the wad, it pushes back and fucks the choke up. Steel is a lot harder than lead, lead has give, if it hits a softer metal choke, it'll still bend, as lead is a fairly soft metal. Steel is a hard metal, it hits a soft choke, or an old choke, likely made of a softer metal, it's going to fuck it up. Even in the wad, if it's trying to compress the pattern, it has to push in on it, and the steel won't give like lead does, if it's all densely packed, and it's not budging, it's going to push up and dent or bend the choke. This is why they make chokes rated for steel, it's hard enough not to get fucked when steel pushes on it. And there have been issues of steel penetrating the wad in the barrel and scratching the bore, something a more malleable metal like lead doesn't do, because it has give, it will bend. His gun is too old for steel, especially if it has anything tighter than a cylinder choke on it. Of course, if you want to tell him to risk denting the bore on a piece of history, and potentially wrecking the front end of it, go ahead, I'm going to say he shouldn't. Then there's the fact that while steel is harder, it's a lighter metal, and I've heard stories from people coming in the store of the steel having piss poor penetration on waterfowl, and it flies a shorter distance. It also tends to cost more than lead shot. The risks behind steel out of an older gun are why people tend to, if they refuse to abandon their old gun, buy tungsten shot for waterfowl around here, as it's not as hard as steel, and there isn't the risk of front-end barrel or choke bulge.
Do they still make over & under / break-action shotguns (with stronger components than iron & wood)?
Hell, the O&U shotguns at the store are some of the most expensive, $3500 for a Browning, $2300 for a Beretta. Of course, we have Stoeger Condor guns for like $500 too, and that's the cheapest O&U we have. Baikal have the cheapest with ejectors, though, at $600.
That's because quality guns at outrageous prices will outlast the buyers entire family tree.
How about medium quality guns at reasonable/piss low prices? See most WW2 bolt actions, the AK family etc...
Over and unders are sexy.
Any of you guys know a good .243 thats affordable?
Does anyone here have any experience adjusting the sights on an M91/30? The bayonet thing is completely true and I would love to fix that. Also good purchase y/n?
