Then again I hate .38s and I'm biased, but it just seems like the guy offering the revolver walks away with the better end of the deal.
The only .38 I'd like to have is a Colt Police Positive [editline]9th September 2012[/editline] ALL OF MY MONEY
Give me all your .38s. And the .32s. I want a Colt 1900 so bad.

It isn't my SKS, it's my friends and he bought it that way. It's a fun gun to shoot, I was surprised it didn't have much recoil.
7.62x39 It's Arsenal made, imported by Saiga.
Just curious cus it has the 5.45 muzzle break and gas tube
It isn't my SKS, it's my friends and he bought it that way. It's a fun gun to shoot, I was surprised it didn't have much recoil.
"It's not mine, I'm holding it for a friend!" :v:

Does anybody know anything about owning or purchasing firearms in Alberta? Particularly for a 17 year old, living in a small town, and I have a bit of experience at a shooting range in Edmonton. (The mall haha.) I'd like to be a gun owner in the future.
wood ar is best ar
This one has a pretty nice figure on it, looks like something you'd find on a fine Flintlock rifle: Not far off from what mine will look like, probably not as extreme though. The grip does show a lot of horizontal striping, doesn't show up on camera very well right now but it will when I stain and finish it.
I personally prefer AR-15/M16/M4/etc to be in plastic or whatever that black stuff is. I think it looks better that way. Wood looks better on guns that were made to be that way, such as a Kar98k
the original AR15 prototypes did have wood furniture. ergo, AR15s were made to be that way
True, I still prefer polymers or plastics or whatever the term is though. Very nice.
I think they both have their merits. That being said, which would last longer in a rough/survivalist environment, wood or polymer?
I think they both have their merits. That being said, which would last longer in a rough/survivalist environment, wood or polymer?
rough/survivalist is a really broad term. Are we talking arid or humid environment?
They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Synthetic stocks aren't vulnerable to moisture, but I've never been worried about getting any of my wood stocks wet, between finish and oiling they're pretty hydrophobic. But wood stocks are more easily repaired, you can replace a section of broken or gouged wood with a new piece after carving out the damage, just pin and glue it in place. It's not unusual to find an old gun with repairs like that, even production guns with low grade wood can have repairs where a knot has been cut out.

In all seriousness it was probably a short barrel version and during the 1996 law change they put on a new barrel and made it long enough to comply with the law.
its still a WWI era luger that someone ruined
its still a WWI era luger that someone ruined
It might not be ruined... it could be turned back into it's original state. But if he had surrendered it to the police it would have been cut in half and then melted down.
