How to Hunt Wisconsin Whitetail Deer with a 12 pound Mountain Howitzer Cannon
Just a quick question, are there any laws that cover operating a howitzer while under the effects of alcohol?
SKS and 1911 are on different license tiers, one being PAL the other RPAL. As previously stated they are both pretty easy written tests and a processing fee. Check local gun stores websites and see if they offer the PAL/RPAL course, you can go in and get it all set up with them. an SKS will cost you around $200 and lets say you take the cheap route, a chicom 1911 is $380 or so.
Stealing my thunder here, homie. It's just a bitch to type a lot on a phone.
Hey guys, long time lurker and casual gun owner here. It's my birthday coming up, and I've decided to get a semi-auto pistol. It'd be the first one I've ever owned, so I'm gonna need something easy to shoot and reliable. I've done some research and I was thinking about a g17 glock, but they're a little too modern for my tastes. But yeah, any ideas?
CZ82 or CZ52
CZ82 or CZ52
Go with the 52, it can puncture class II body armor :D
Can't go wrong with anything CZ
So guys! Tough call, but I don't know what to buy. I've wanted some sort of a fun shooting ak-47 for a while, you know, just to have an ak, so I wanted to get a wasr 10/63, now I'm thinking I want to lean more towards a m1 carbine! What one would you guys get. [editline]12th September 2012[/editline] also, have a bayonet.
also, have a bayonet.
Is this legal in California? I have no idea. :v: As far as your question goes, I've heard a lot of negative things about Wasr 10s (mainly about them sucking in various ways), so I'd plop down the money on an M1 carbine. My friend has one, and says it's a fun shooter, and surprisingly accurate for a carbine.
yes bayonets are legal everywhere
Question! What's a good reliable semi-automatic rifle, fun to shoot, larger(er then .22 caliber I guess) and rather low in price? I'm thinking the m1 may already be out of my price range. :V
What's your price range?
whats a gun
its a thing
$400 - $500 would be my maximum price range.
SKS?
Already have an sks :o
if you're willing to save up a little more you can get a zastava m70 for just under $600, or if you're absolutely stuck in that price range then an SKS or Saiga in .223, .308, or 7.62x39 [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] wiselite Sterling 7.62x25 Sporter [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] AMD-65 CIA C93
yes bayonets are legal everywhere
I was being sarcastic. I was also making fun of California having all sorts of bans on firearms.

Thanks for the suggestions though man.
I've never seen any of those go for over $500 except the C93 and those are usually closer to 500 even. I've never seen a saiga go over 400 or a sterling 7.62x25 go over 300 http://centerfiresystems.com/sai-545.aspx just get this and enjoy it
A M1 Carbine is $400 at my local store. An Sks is a good gun too, but you gotta clean it from cosmo.

A lot of them are shitty, but there are good ones out there, you just have to inspect it beforehand to make sure the sights aren't canted, ect. I own both a norinco (RPK)AK47 and a WASR10 AK47, both are great rifles and I have no complaints. @Garb: If you can find a WASR10 at a gun shop, just inspect it beforehand and make sure it isn't fucked up.

They are a little on the expensive side though, running in the $600 to $1k+ range for a USGI carbine. The commercial variants, made by Plainfield, Universal, and Iver Johnson are a little cheaper at $350 to ~$450, but their quality is kind of hit or miss and they're not quite as well built and reliable as the USGI ones. How about one of those pistol calibre carbines?
So I was checking the weapon restrictions here in Australia, seeing what some things would be classed as, when I got to the Restricted Items list Air rifles and Double Barrel shotguns are classed as the same thing, but laser pointers are restricted? :v:
studded gloves are restricted but weighted gloves aren't?
I also recommend the M1 carbine, my father has it and of all his guns it has to be my favorite, except for the fact he has a scope on his right now which makes stovepipes like a billion times more likely. He also has reloading dies for it so ammo isn't really as expensive
studded gloves are restricted but weighted gloves aren't?
Weighted gloves are category M, along with ballisongs, switchblates, batons and fucking crossbows

Owning a a laser pointer gets you a $10000 fine now. The media really trumped up a few years ago with a "Laser pointers downing aircraft" scare. Fucking retarded [editline]12th September 2012[/editline]
Weighted gloves are category M, along with ballisongs, switchblates, batons and fucking crossbows
Depends on the state. Crossbows are still legal in SA, assuming they aren't a "handgun crossbow"
