With enough tools and alcohol, anything is interchangeable
would you call a T91 an AR15?
Is it bad that I think the T91 looks better?
Is it bad that I think the T91 looks better?
I agree. T91s look so much more solid than an AR15
I read somewhere a while back that Magpul got their inspiration for the MIAD and the MOE from T91 parts
The PSL is an enlarged RPK design, the SVD is its own.. how you'd compare them is beyond me.

Shit.
Could I still get a grand for the PSL?

Beautiful.
Tula or Izhevsk?
It's like saying a WASR isn't an AK
[editline]14th September 2012[/editline]
Ok maybe not that extreme. I don't get too picky gun with gun details

Technically I have a AES-10B but I just call it an rpk, am I a bad person?
Tula or Izhevsk?
He didn't say. If he still has it when the show rolls around next weekend I'll check.
Did he say what he wants for it?

WASRs and AKs have the same mechanisms, PSLs and SVDs do not at all. Did you even read my post?
AKs, RPKs and PSLs are Kalashnikov-pattern long stroke. Dragunovs are Dragunov-pattern short stroke.

In PSLs the piston is a part of the bolt carrier, the spring is on a loose rod.
In SVDs the piston is a loose metal rod, the spring is attached to the dust cover.
I love how he made a box and manual for it. I'd be wary of it because of that, it seems a bit too flashy for a gun that there are millions of, even if there aren't many in the US.
Up here they go for $175, and ship in a basic cardboard box still covered in cosmoline, with all the accessories for cleaning in a plastic bag and covered in cosmoline, with the ammo pouch lying in the box loosely and the sling wrapped around it. If you want stripper clips, you buy Czech surplus, they come loaded on clips already. You end up with so many clips, you just throw them away when you're done with the 10 rounds on them.

Some importers make boxes and manuals like that. I doubt it was that individual seller
Guns like that should be sold in huge wooden crates with 10 to a crate and filled with straw

Never really been interested in an SKS, but damn that set looks nice.

It's a Tula, and he's asking $550 for it. He's already got at least one buyer in line.
He's also selling a PSL ($1200 with a tin of ammo), a No1Mk3 ($350 with a bayonet and 130rds of ammo), a 1942 M38 and 1945 M44 (with bayonet, helmet, a few medals 50rds of ammo for $550 for the pair)

Any chance of some better pictures of that Enfield? And would he ship?
He doesn't like to ship :(
He will only sell locally. Another member tried a few months ago with his PSL.

Oh... well that is disappointing :(
Can never find any Enfields where I'm at. K98s too. Both rifles are rarer than hell up here.
I see a lot of k98s but Enfields are pretty unusual here.
Jesus, $550 for an SKS? I remember getting my Tula 1952 for $280 just over a year ago. The fact that it comes with the original import box and all the accessories does make it a bit more valuable and I understand the value has gone up, but still.
Looking at his other prices it seems like he's overpricing like a mofo. Even with a tin of ammunition a PSL isn't worth $1200.
Just bought my PTR91 pistol and a collapsible stock for it
That's a felony. I'd put the stock at a different address until you get the stamp.
That's a felony. I'd put the stock at a different address until you get the stamp.
wait so you cant buy a pistol and a stock at the same time? even if you dont attach the two?
wait so you cant buy a pistol and a stock at the same time? even if you dont attach the two?
You can't own the stock at all. You have to register the pistol as an sbr.
That's a felony. I'd put the stock at a different address until you get the stamp.
In most states, and under federal law, you can own both the stock and pistol legally. As long as it's not attached to it you're fine.
If the law stated otherwise you could be arrested for having a foregrip for your AR just because the glock you have has a rail on it that would accept it.
