In most states, and under federal law, you can own both the stock and pistol legally. As long as it's not attached to it you're fine. If the law stated otherwise you could be arrested for having a foregrip for your AR just because the glock you have has a rail on it that would accept it.
When you have one that can only go with the other, it's constructive intent. You might beat the rap, but you'll go broke defending yourself against the ATF in trial.
That's a felony. I'd put the stock at a different address until you get the stamp.
It could be considered intent to build a short barreled rifle, but if the registration is almost complete he should be fine as long as he keeps the weapon separate from the stock.
My Taurus PT-22 I bought today, any website recommendations for some thinner, rubberized grips?
It's a Tula, and he's asking $550 for it. He's already got at least one buyer in line. He's also selling a PSL ($1200 with a tin of ammo), a No1Mk3 ($350 with a bayonet and 130rds of ammo), a 1942 M38 and 1945 M44 (with bayonet, helmet, a few medals 50rds of ammo for $550 for the pair)
Enfields are sex and that deal is fucking amazing.
I REALLY want my dad's made in italy 92 FS when I turn 18, its like a fine sportscar of a pistol, That and it was my grandfathers police carry pistol for a long time. Its got quite a bit of sentimental value.
My God America's laws are stupid sometimes. Intent to build an SBR just by having a stock? So dumb. Up here if you put a stock on a pistol, it's still considered to be a pistol thanks to our definition of a pistol, so they don't care.
I'm trying to work out if putting a stock on a handgun in Australia would be illegal. I was thinking it would be really sweet to have an AR15 pistol, and then put a stock on it :v: Apparently the define a "handgun" as a firearm that's designed to be fire with one hand.... Pretty dumb, but thankfully it can be twisted Even a glock to carbine stock would be sweet
I copied a Mosin-Nagant stripper clip today. Made it out of corrugated tin, and it took me the better part of five hours to meticulously bend correctly. I'm pretty sure it was not worth the effort, but I was stubborn and vowed I would do it. Doesn't feed too well because the metal is thicker, but it holds the ammunition a lot better than the ones I bought.
I wanna try one of these out someday.

It's worth it even just for the 130 rounds of ammo. Also figure the bayonet is another $100, so essentially you're spending ~$120 on the rifle itself

But if I'm in the process of getting my stamp and it's not going to be installed until I have the stamp, could I get in trouble?
Far cry 2 has convinced me that parkerization and bluing don't exist.
But if I'm in the process of getting my stamp and it's not going to be installed until I have the stamp, could I get in trouble?
I've been told it can be considered constructive intent if both parts are at the same physical address.
Thinking of getting one of these babies: (it's a Radom P64) I figure it is a good choice for my first handgun. For less than $200 how can I go wrong?
I've been told it can be considered constructive intent if both parts are at the same physical address.
So should I leave it at a friends house or anything? This is the first time I've ever dealt with NFA stuff to be honest.
Far cry 2 has convinced me that parkerization and bluing don't exist.
I always figured the Africans were too poor to afford smokeless powder so they reloaded with hand made black powder then never cleaned their guns because they couldn't afford oil either. :v:
Up here it's defined as: The bolded part is why they don't give two shits about the stock, though it can be a bad thing too.
Hmm, might be able to get away with it then
I always figured the Africans were too poor to afford smokeless powder so they reloaded with hand made black powder then never cleaned their guns because they couldn't afford oil either. :v:
I do think that they use black powder. There's a fuck ton of smoke from each round. One thing I dont understand though, is why there's so many FN Minimis.
IMFDB's page on Far Cry 2 comes to mind, it makes me lose my shit every time.
A low-condition Desert Eagle. Given how fast it wears off the finish can't be chrome or nickel; tinfoil attached with glue is a safer bet.

Up here it's defined as: The bolded part is why they don't give two shits about the stock, though it can be a bad thing too.
Wait, does "“handgun” means a firearm that is designed, altered or intended to be aimed and fired by the action of one hand" mean any rifle-size firearm that's cut down to pistol size is legally a handgun?
IMFDB's page on Far Cry 2 comes to mind, it makes me lose my shit every time.

this rifle was made by "Precision Armory." Given the Desert Eagle, it's surprising it doesn't say "Hitler & Krotch."
This is what I'm calling H&K from now on
Wait, does "“handgun” means a firearm that is designed, altered or intended to be aimed and fired by the action of one hand" mean any rifle-size firearm that's cut down to pistol size is legally a handgun?
I guess so. They do have those 10/22s cut down to pistols that you see occasionally
Thinking of getting one of these babies: (it's a Radom P64) I figure it is a good choice for my first handgun. For less than $200 how can I go wrong?
Yeah the P-64's are nice, basically a good clone of the PPK but with how small they are, the muzzle flip and recoil is a bit much for a first time shooter, I can handle the recoil of a .40 full size perfectly fine. But the smaller ppk's and P-64's are a different story, I can handle them but it's not like a full size pistol where I could pop off rounds back to back. I'd save up a bit more and get a full size pistol in 9mm or .40 and get something like a Beretta, Glock, Taurus or Sig Sauer.
So I just got back from my IPSC safety course, day 2. It's fun as hell. IPSC is the only civilian organization that can use "scary guns", and surprisingly, people aren't nutjobs or gun nuts, but LEO and military personell, some of which I've already met before. The only downside is that IPSC set a 2 year waiting time in Norway for rifles, due to the 22nd of july shooting, to make sure the politicians didn't start further cuttings on the approved rifle list(even though breivik's rifle was a hunting, not IPSC rifle), which means I'll have to wait two years even if I want a rifle or a pistol :v: When you're used to lugging around a heavy (4,7 kg) AG3, the S&W M&P9 (0.6kg) became a goddamn dream, and half way through the day it felt like an extension of my body. A bit clumsy one, but it worked like a dream. One of the guys I knew pulled up a black Desert Eagle with rails, which he managed to buy some months before the ban on .50 came. So he reloads his own ammo, and only fires it now and then for the sake of it. Other than that it's just something for the sake of having it. Fucking loud, and it's Power Factor is around 440 (A MAJOR IPSC rifle (7.62 and that stuff) needs to be 300 or so)(PF is grainsxfps/1000). There's also some guy that keeps calling the cops when the range is being used :v: The police has given armed responses several times to that range, so now that guy's pretty much blacklisted at the emergency central. Now he just sits at the driveway of the range and takes notes of everything.

I just got the fucking weirdest thing ever, the H&R Model 120: it's a bolt-action, tube-fed 16 gauge shotgun made in the '50s by Sears. Best part? I got it for only $80. I'll put some pictures up in 10 days when I pick it up, but in the meantime, could anyone help me get some info on it? The most I can find is gun listings and threads asking what it is.
