I might have sold my shotgun
My friend found this super rare suicide mission Mosin on gunbroker. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=306555784
It would honestly be easier to just point the barrel and your face and pull the trigger then have some cyanide slopped onto your sights so you could look like a retard trying to lick his elbow on a gun.
It's just paint. Lots of Mosins have it. It's also commonly found under the buttplate (gee what a great place to put your cyanide :v:) The idea that you'd put it on the sights is simply retarded. The guy also claims to have "super rare non-rebuilt Tula SKSs" http://www.fstactical.com/rare-tula-sks.html Claiming that they're all original because the numbers match and they're rare because the bolt is blued. In other words, they went through the arsenal refurb and/or post-importation refurb.
although Canadians can make our own firearms as long as they follow the already in place rules. So you could make a home made ghetto Obrez in some form but don't quote me when the RCMP asks what you're doing. Then again how will they ever find out.
For one I'd have to register it as a handgun, that's one way they'd find out, and second I'd have to make it from scratch, because it's against the law to chop down a real Mosin, and I don't have the time, effort, or resources to do that.

At first I believed the threading protector on my SAR-1 was welded on and immovable, as it was common for pre-removal-of-catalogue AKs because of bullshit reasons. Today I found out that instead it's just Slav threading working in the opposite direction, I was just twisting it the wrong way. I felt seriously dumb.

How stupid does this guy think Americans are?
I wanna buy a Mosin soon, they're pretty cheap, and I have some 7.62x54r sitting around. Also looking for a cheap AK variant, preferably around $300.
Also looking for a cheap AK variant, preferably around $300.
Good AK Cheap Pick 2
:I Because dumping some bolts into the same bluing tray as the rest of the gun is hard, right?
The thing is the bolts aren't even blued, they're parkerized
I bet people still eat those things up too, just because it has a tula stamp.
I fingerfucked a Ruger Gunsite Scout at Gander today. I think I'm in love. ;-; Related hickok45
Only 2 locking lugs 0/10 wnf [editline]19th September 2012[/editline] Seriously though, looks p. nice. I had a thought though, technically the bolt handle acts as a lock on the receiver on a Mosin, therefore the Mosin Nagant had 3 locking lugs 6 years before Mauser did
Anyone know where I can get an AK chambered in 5.45 for a decent price? Never done 5.45 shopping so I'm not entirely sure what's good and what isn't, etc as far as 5.45 AKs go.

Anyone got any tips for freeing loctighted bolts? Seems I can't strip down my dads Remington 7615 because the guide tube for the slide that holds the barrel on which I need to remove to pull the bolt out is stuck nicely. Some people suggested heating but that seems like a bad idea to me. Any tips?
They're right, heat is the way to go..
They're right, heat is the way to go..
Any tips for applying it? I'm slightly worried I'll fuck the temper
Slowly and around the whole screw (aka don't heat one angle, the TL will flow and end up on the other side making it even worse). Doesn't need a lot of heat to unlock it. If it is actual threadlocker, red or black label, it might take some time
How do I bump fire from my shoulder? yay box fort!
You buy a slide-fire.
You buy a slide-fire.
Without that...
Use the same philosophy. Keep your trigger finger "locked" and push the weapon forward. You may get a beating from the stock tho.

[editline]19th September 2012[/editline]
Without that...
Trigger finger against the trigger, the other fingers straight out. slowly pull the gun forward with your support hand. The recoil should push it back, which will reset the trigger, and your support arm will push it forward again, pulling the trigger.
The 30rd mag I ordered arrived today, finally I can feed my SAR with a magazine that isn't a shitty, butchered, limited, pre-unban one. And I learned a very important thing: when disassembling an AK magazine for the first time, treat it as it was a loaded firearm and point it always in a safe direction, the spring is full of murderous intent and usually will go for your throat.
I honestly don't get the point of bump-fire and the whole stocks they make for it. To me it is a colossal waste of money and ammo. I've had the chance to use real-full auto weapons (Thanks local PD/SWAT team) and to me it wasn't very fun. I burned though ammo really quick, yeah i got to throw a lot of rounds down range and riddled my qualification target full of holes. I literally cut the target in half (Poor guy haha). But I can't see it being fun all the time imo, i like double tapping and doing short burts. But I personally don't find it fun just throwing ammo randomly down range. I can't see the whole hip firing/bump firing thing being that accurate. Plus people who do that shit on a range that does not allow more then 2 rounds per second are really annoying, it isn't fun being next to someone who does that shit. Half the time they're being unsafe.
I think bumpfire/slidefire is kinda pointless, but I still think it would be a hell of alot of fun to shoot a real full auto. Namely an MG42 or M2 Carbine
I actually have had fun shooting full autos. The more fun full autos I have fired have been the MP40 and MG-42.
