My AK mags and AR front sight showed up today! :D
Now you need more orange stuff on that rifle. GET SOME IODINE-COLORED FURNITURE, PRONTO!
Naw, needs glorious wood laminate furniture
Now you need more orange stuff on that rifle. GET SOME IODINE-COLORED FURNITURE, PRONTO!
I just bought a stock set, I'm picking it up at the gunshow this weekend :)
I like those 74M polymer furniture sets
I like those 74M polymer furniture sets
Me too, but they seriously clash with the bakelite mags. It's all-orange or nothing.
Yeah I'd get those polymer tapco mags if I had a 74m
I just saw an episode of Cajun Pawn Stars where they had an all-original 1918 Winchester-made BAR with British proofs show up, and he couldn't pay fucking $35,000 for it! I'd sell my damn house to get $35,000 to buy that gun if I could, fuck this country's shitty laws that ban almost everything.

He's in business to make money and expensive automatic weapons don't move much and take up a lot of space
Yeah I'd get those polymer tapco mags if I had a 74m
Gun came with six of them. I don't like them. Going to sell them and buy a couple more German mags.
What don't you like about them? As far as I've seen they're cheap and feed great, there really isn't much more a magazine can offer.
I prefer the more solid feeling of the bakelite mags. Tapco has always felt cheap to me, and their mags are no exception. What's more, while unloading a couple of them to fill the new mags, they were constantly double feeding. I was unloading them using my folding knife to push them out like the bolt would. [editline]19th September 2012[/editline] I've also never liked waffle texture mags. My old Lancers would probably be the one exception.
Who cares what they do when you jab them with a knife, as long as they don't do that when they're in the gun you're good as far as I'm concerned
Is your rifle an Arsenal? I've only ever found two Arsenal 5.45 AKs, and they were both just under $1000. Apparently they stopped making them as well.
I found this rather ironic: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/17/aurora-theater-shooting-t_n_1889779.html

After 20 days in the mail, my rpks stock set got here. Box has a dozen stamps om it and is beat all to hell, last time i order from russia.
its never your last time you order from russia
I paid $650 for mine and it came with 6 tapco mags and a hundred rounds of filthy surplus. [editline]19th September 2012[/editline] Trigger finger against the trigger, the other fingers straight out. slowly pull the gun forward with your support hand. The recoil should push it back, which will reset the trigger, and your support arm will push it forward again, pulling the trigger.
Where'd you get it?
Where'd you get it?
Bought it from a member on a local gun board who bought it the day before from another member :v:
After 20 days in the mail, my rpks stock set got here. Box has a dozen stamps om it and is beat all to hell, last time i order from russia.
well that's a silly reason
One more year until I can buy rifles for myself ;_;
Woop! Grandma brought my shotgun! Pics incoming. [editline]20th September 2012[/editline]
Thumb that shit yo...
Anyone got any tips for freeing loctighted bolts? Seems I can't strip down my dads Remington 7615 because the guide tube for the slide that holds the barrel on which I need to remove to pull the bolt out is stuck nicely. Some people suggested heating but that seems like a bad idea to me. Any tips?
A heat gun is more than enough to break loctite, just try to stay away from wood and plastic. You can also try the oven as well, but only put metal in.
2 questions: 1.) Am I the only person who thinks solid white polymer furniture/parts look good on most guns? "Most guns" as in most modern or moderately aged guns. Not garands or thompsons etc. 2.) Is there such thing as an Obrez in .338 lapua? :v:
1. Yes you are alone... 2. I'm sure someone somewhere has cut a .338 rifle down to an Oberez for the shits and nipples.
"shits and nipples" has been added to my vocabulary, thanks
