Hey, do you guys know if it's legal to have firearms shipped to P.O. boxes or not?
AKAIF, in the US, firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer.
AKAIF, in the US, firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer.
Yeah... I was kinda assuming if he is asking then he might be an FFL Holder or maybe a C&R Guy... then again I don't give a fuck.
AFAIK He's not even 21 yet, if I recall right he wanted a CZ-52 from a gunshow because he can't buy it from an FFL. Meanwhile up here in Canada, Canada Post can ship a rifle right to your door, and UPS can ship a rifle, pistol, or even a prohibited weapon right to your door, as long as you have a gun license.

I don't fucking understand this ridiculous system. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Alright, alright, so I have to have it shipped to an FFL. That being said, if I purchase it from a private individual and then have it transferred to an FFL, is that legal? Does it still count as a private transaction?

Alright, sounds easy enough. You guys have been a huge help over the last few days, seriously. I wouldn't have known about the receiver-tap, or about the bipod issues, or any of this. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Oh, also apparently Arizona doesn't have a waiting period, wicked.
Lucky fucker. California over here. Weee...
You live in probably the only state that has worse gun laws than Canada. At least we can have quick releases for our magazines.
I don't know for sure, but as far as North America is concerned, I see worst gun laws going like this: 1. Canada 2. California 3. Illinois 4. New York 5. ? I might be wrong, in some cases I've heard of New York being a total pain, some cases not bad. On the other hand, Arizona, Texas, and Alaska are still in the wild-west mind set basically. Guns for everyone there!
Since when is Canada in America?
Since when is Canada in America?
he said north america [editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
I don't know for sure, but as far as North America is concerned, I see worst gun laws going like this: 1.
Since when is Canada in America?
>NORTH America is a continent, the US (as much as they'd like to) does not own ALL of the Americas. Also, Mexico has worse gun laws than Canada, but more gun crime, and is also in North America.
California has some pretty fucking senseless laws. An extreme version of the Federal Assault Weapons ban, an enumerated list of banned weapons, a ban on anything larger than 10 round magazines, not to mention the open carry ban, and the huge difficulty of getting a CC license in any major city. And I swear, the next time I read "A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" I am going to flip my shit. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
I do believe NY has worse gun laws than Illinois.
Illinois, AFAIK, is the only state that doesn't allow CCW.

Could you guys recommend any relatively cheap CA-legal AR-15 uppers? Just ordered a lower.

[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
I do believe NY has worse gun laws than Illinois.
They're both very stupid. Though Illinois from what I've seen and read is worse.

Why do people do that bump-fire thing? Imitation of an automatic on a semi? I've never seen it outside of youtube before and I've seen some very stupid things done with guns on the field.
Why do people do that bump-fire thing? Imitation of an automatic on a semi? I've never seen it outside of youtube before and I've seen some very stupid things done with guns on the field.
My friends do it all the time. I've watched them do it with my Remington 11-87 and his PSL, it must be a redneck thing because we do it alot out here in the sticks.
Illinois, AFAIK, is the only state that doesn't allow CCW.
For a short time, we almost had it, but it faded away into nothingness. FOID system is dumb, 24 hour wait for long gun is dumb, but I guess 72 for handgun makes sense. Also, if you live in Cook County, say goodbye to essentially every 2nd Amendment right.
Remember the range that the guy has in his shop? Turns out max caliber is [sp] .50 BMG [/sp]
Remember the range that the guy has in his shop? Turns out max caliber is [sp] .50 BMG [/sp]
Jesus Christ, the outdoor range that I go to doesn't let you fire .50 BMG, how does he get away with it indoors?
please be a repro garand
Why does it need to be a repo? Not like it does any damage to the gun
Why does it need to be a repo? Not like it does any damage to the gun
Minus him mercilessly ramming the stripper clip into the chamber :v:
Remember the range that the guy has in his shop? Turns out max caliber is [sp] .50 BMG [/sp]
Good God... That must be absolutely horrendous for the other shooters in there. Having being in an Indoor range with one smart ass firing off a 30-06 was horrible enough, but that, that is insane.
My uncle was at an indoor range one time. To his left was a guy with a whole bunch of revolvers in the big boy calibers (.357, .44, .500S&W, .454 Cassull, etc.) and to his right was a guy with a .50AE Deagle brand Deagle.
Minus him mercilessly ramming the stripper clip into the chamber :v:
Eh, it's a gun that got clips rammed in to it in inhospitable steamy jungle swamps, inhospitable frozen wastes and inhospitable France.
