Did a little research. Opinions on Glock 17 and CZ-75? :v:
I own a Glock 17 gen4. Best purchase I've ever made.
They're light, easy to use, work without any tweaking. My gun has a 5.5 pound trigger and is smooth as hell. Easy maintenance. They're available in a wide verity of calibers and all function the same. They're light so if you carry that is the best way to go. You don't want a big bulky gun holding you down.
Customization of out of the asshole and lots of aftermarket parts. You can get them cheap, specially police trade ins that get rarely used and just show holster-ware.
The other gun isn't bad, i can't make any comments about it, but i would go with something more modern. You're going to get more uses from a glock.
This is mine

More modern? The Glock 17 was designed only 4 years after the CZ 75. As far as a solid 9mm pistol, they are functionally similar. It just comes down to your preference of steel frame vs polymer frame, grip shape, safety, etc. So for someone like me, who really isn't very fond of polymer frames, and is not a fan of both the Glock's safety and internal hammer, the CZ 75 would be a better choice, but for you this is obviously different.

Doesn't that really defeat the purpose of the G26's tiny pistol grip? :v:
Is it bad that I want a G34? I'll most likely end up getting a G17 somewhere down the road, but I kinda like the long slide/barrel of the 34.

There's something I can't stand about these little baby glocks, I've handled and shot them before and they just don't seem right to me.

That quote reminded me that I need to save up for L-frame glock and some high-cap mags.

Crime is a disease and this pistol is the cure, if you didn't know were this pistol came from it would look fairly ridiculous.
The guy who runs the range has a Tec-9 for sale.
Pretty cheap, seeing for what they usually go for in IL. $640

Where are you in Illinois?
Would you if it was full auto?
A good full auto must be able to do the following two things:
1)run the entire magazine reliably
2)Have a nice simple dissemble field stripping process
Well would ya look at that! It can do none of the above!
Therefore it's still a piece of shit.
Pictures!

Type 38 Arisaka, from what I can tell it's part of Series 24, and was made in either Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo), or Kokura Arsenal, sometime between 1933 and 1940. It shows some "loving" to it, and it seems someone refinished it when they got it home by Parkerizing a rifle that was originally blued. The mum is sanded off, and refinished over, so it's hard to tell where it was, or that it even was there, but I can see the marks where it was indented when I inspect it. The bore looks in good shape, nice rifling, no pitting, even if it is aesthetically beaten up, when I find ammo, it should be a good shooter. It definitely needs a good cleaning, it looks like it's gummed up with small bits of dirt and possibly surface rust.
Because mausers are awesome, accurate, and reliable rifles.
Grorious rifre of japan
Well paint my ass yellow and slap my skull with a doorknob. Arisakas seem to be excellent rifles, I'd totally buy one once I get my collection up and running. Too bad here in Italy they are hella rare and expensive, the only one I saw for sale was priced at 1200€.
Not much cosmetically has changed, but I think I'm proud of my handywork!
I took apart the bolt (which was piss easy), and spent an hour cleaning, oiling and working an obstruction out of the barrel. The bore is spotless and as far as I see, there's not a lick of rust inside it.
I took the scope off to look it up separately, the scope is going for 30$ on gunbroker.
