Now i just need to wait for my 18th birthday at the end of June and ill be set. gunna be a long wait [editline]17th March 2012[/editline] any advice on caliber? .357mag & .44mag are the same in price so which one would you guys prefer?

it looks fucking comfortable to me
It is supposed to have a steam-punk sort of style [editline]17th March 2012[/editline]
The upside down action to reduce recoil is fairly interesting, but goddamn that handle looks ridiculous.
The action isn't upside down, it's an air pistol and that is the piston handle.
Wasn't that thing designed by a blind russian dude, and is still one of the most accurate pistols in the world? [editline]17th March 2012[/editline] Nope, I was thinking of another one. Well, still interesting.

Hickok45 did some pretty cool videos on the subject
The action isn't upside down, it's an air pistol and that is the piston handle.
Nope, its a Russian .22 target pistol called the MC-3 Record with an upside down action that was banned from international competition in 1956 for being too good.
outdoors day with my hunting proficiency course today 13/25 clay pigeons hit. not too bad for a first, i guess :v:
Blackout your targets with the barrel and you should never miss. Take your time too, shoot them as they're going out. It is easier that way. First time I ever went to shoot clays. 24 out of 25 targets. second rounds 23 out of 25.
I agree with Gubbinz, though I really love 30-30 and (dare I say) 45-70.
.45-70 is really fun but it's expensive. If you want to shoot your lever gun frequently, go with one of the handgun calibers or .30-30. Personally I'm looking at getting a Henry in either .45 LC or .44 mag; I can't decide which. .44 obviously has a lot more punch but it's more expensive, and I intended to get a handgun to go along with the rifle... and let's be honest, .44 in a handgun platform isn't exactly the most comfortable thing. Dunno yet, we'll see. Sexy.
I would go with a henry but i find loading through the side alot easier that the tube [editline]17th March 2012[/editline] also im hopefully going to the gunshow today and possibly tommorrow. Landre899 needs some 7.62x54r

God dammit, they're trying to change the explosives act in Canada to make ammo harder to get, and make it harder to store, and limit how much you can store farther than they already have. This sweeping legislation basically fucks everything to do with guns, explosives, and ammo in Canada over in one move, and if these changes come into force they will likely criminalize almost every gun owner in the country.

I'd like to read up on this.
http://www.gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2012/2012-03-17/html/reg1-eng.html Some MNR executive seems to have it in for people, the biggest noted change is change of the possession limit of 235kg of propellant contained in cartridges to 225kg of cartridges, a huge fucking difference amounting to literally hundreds of thousands of rounds. I'm debating sending "Dr. Christopher G. Watson" Of the MNR an e-mail, and trying to decide if it should be "strongly worded" or if it should respectfully ask why he's trying to fuck shooters, collectors, reloaders, and even the average plinker over.
I just read over the small arms sections and it really puts excessive barriers to reloaders and gunsmiths in general. While I suppose the rules are necessary, putting things like this almost make you wonder if government believes we have common sense or not. I suppose if it were passed then it'd be even easier to prosecute firearms owners for "unsafe" handling and storage of related equipment.
Note how it also says small arms cartridges "must be stored in a way that prevents or deters theft." While everyone says "Well my house is locked," they also know that won't hold up in court, basically meaning you now need to have a locked room and/or cabinet for ammo.
Just another way to screw over the Canadian arms owner is all. I'm wondering when we'll get a parliament which actually cares for the Canadian arms owner.
Regarding 22's n such.
what the fuck is this how would you even look through the scope comfortably god damn what
Leaked MW4 concept. Next stage, it's going to be painted all black and rails will be attached to the barrels, the sides, the magazine and the bolt carriers.
what the fuck is this how would you even look through the scope comfortably god damn what
An abomination.
With a lower scope mount, a slightly better stock for the mosin and a removal of the long stick that connects the two triggers I can see a use for this. As a Designated Marksman rifle, with the option of going full retard in close quarters with only having to change your grip.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvF4yurWSc0 By far the quietest suppressed weapon I've heard.
I think I might buy a clay pigeon thrower if I get to use that land I talked about. If the farmer that owns it doesn't let me though I'll go lay down in a ditch and cry. Driving to the skeet range takes 40 minutes and every 25 targets are $20. :suicide:
Geez, what a rip off. I get a box of 100 here for $10.
