You don't have to move to America actually.
I think most people clean their gun after a day of shooting anyway. I find it quite therapeutic. It's kinda habit anyway since in the house we have 4 blackpowder guns.
if I'm shooting surplus I clean after one day at the range, if I'm shooting new stuff I clean every few days
Speaking of which the four of them are in this picture, I don't have the patience to buy guns like that it's a passion of my dads. All of the double barrel guns in the picture are his along with the Winchester 1897 which he restored himself.
What's the coolest gun you guys have fired? Mine was F88 AusSteyr (The Australia version of the AUG, the only improvements being a bayonet lug :v:) When I use to be a cadet
The most tacticool gun I've fired is an HK 416 with a aimpoint on it while visiting the army gunsmith workshop, but the coolest? It's a tie between my teachers Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum and a 1911 that blued and had a punisher motive on the grip plates and the muzzleloader we shot during our schools skitrip today. EDIT: Forget the Ruger, the 1911 and the muzzleloader, I totally forgot about what I think is one of the coolest guns of all times, the Norwegian variant of the G3, the AG-3.
Had the chance to fire off a few (blank) rounds with a PKM during a combat exercise, after asking the bloke next to me nicely :v: Other than that, only other gun i've handled is an RK-95.
Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to fire any automatics, but the coolest IMO that I've fired is the Walther PPK, as it's the main James Bond gun. Unfortunately I can't get one, they're banned here now... And they're dirt cheap because of it...
The best/coolest handgun I've ever fired is definitely the P99.
I guess the most snazzy gun I ever have fired is the Colt M16A4 with a 3.2 scope. When I was in the army we also had it as a light machinegun conversion with a carrying handle and a much bigger barrel, but I can't remember if I got to fire it.
The only russian made round a shooter would be able to get here, without hand loading it himself, would be the 7,62x54R, because the Nugget IS actually legal here because it fits the category of a standard bolt action hunting rifle just fine. Just a reminder for all you americans: All semi automatics are illegal here, all bolt-action rifles must be limited to 5 or 10 rounds, all shotguns must be limited to 2 rounds, and all weapons must be stored in an approved gun safe at all times when not in use with the bolt stored separately. To even apply for a weapon license you must have been an active member of a shooting club (they mostly use .22 rifles) for two years prior to the application date or have a valid and annually renewed hunting license. Not even people on active duty in the millitary are allowed to have firearms in private. Only special members of the national guard can apply and maybe get a permit to store a firearm privately. You even have to have a weapon permit for all blades longer than 7 centimeters (2,5 inches) that are not used in the kitchen or for fishing. Carrying knives when not at work or cookin is illegal. All stabbing weapons(spears, sword canes), folding knives, throwing stars, hidden knives and all blunt weapons like brass knuckles and nuchakos are strictly illegal. If you break any of these rules you get two years in prison. The only weapon you are allowed to have without a permit from the police is an air rifle, and then again, you have to be at least 18 years old to own one. You also have to be 18 to own airsoft guns (the ones that shoot small plastic pellets). The weapons that you call "BB guns" are fucking illegal. God damn, they don't even sell nerf guns to kids in this small ass country because people MIGHT FUCKING DIE!!! /end of rant.
Where do you live? Seems like you live in Portugal, but I think we don't have as many rules here...
Coolest gun I've fired would either be the M2 .50cal, or the Krag rifle.
czechnology
This is the best word. Ever.
I live in California. Here is my gun
Coolest gun I've fired would either be the M2 .50cal, or the Krag rifle.
For other people the Krag might be coolest gun I've fired, but I think they're that special, as I have two :v: Also, sold my late uncles 870 to a classmate of mine as my neither want or needs a 870, I want an 870, but I know that I won't need either as I hunt too rarely for it be worth anything to me. If I'll need a shotgun, I'll just borrow my dads drilling or Baikal. And guns for home defense is not an issue in Norway in case any of you americans wonder why I just sold a perfectly good shotgun.
I live in California. Here is my gun
Oh, it could be worse. You could be from England, and this would be your gun:
Coolest gun I've fired would either be the M2 .50cal, or the Krag rifle.
.50 caliber guns are awesome. I got my grubby little hands on a Barret M82 once and boy that was some sexy hardware. Unfortunately I didn't get to shoot it, but just pulling the bolt made me wet.
Buy a 22.
I already have one. It's fun for wasting ammo but otherwise not a gun I'm too happy with
Coolest I've shot is an m3

Future soldiers of Ireland perhaps?
Who can resist the charme of the AUG?
at one show i got to hold CZ 750 S1 M1
Who can resist the charme of the AUG?
I can. I'm not much into bullpups. (really, the one before was an unwanted slip)
Possibility of ANOTHER new toy for my birthday if the guy emails me back (pleasepleaseplease) [editline]27th March 2012[/editline] And he only wants $250 for it!
Some guys over at Kammeret apparently have plans to attempt to get the M1 Garand type approved for the Norwegian market. :)))))))))))))))))
Link to the thread please?
Why are you whining? You have to wait two years, big deal, I can't get one ever. [sp]Unless I move to America that is...[/sp]
I'm not being whiny. Just annoyed that I can't satisfy my lust for handguns. That being said, I'm sorry you live in a state where you can't get a handgun.
Honestly lads, if you haven't actually fired an automatic bullpup rifle I don't see the criticism, it has to be used to be believed. It's light, short, accurate and a fine piece of kit. That being said I do long for the days of a massive 7.62 monster that kicked like a mule and made you feel like Arney in commando when you hip fired.
I wish we had some gun show event in Quebec, but with all the pussy laws here, it won't ever happen.
http://www.kammeret.no/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=68598&start=160
Well, it's a plan, but I'd still see that they sent in the application right about now so I might be abe to buy around next year.
Just found this article while browsing. It's about intermediate cartridges. http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/The%20Next%20Generation.htm
