The center axis seems really uncomfortable.
pretty much, yeah.
So cup and saucer is where you have your hand under the grip and other hand?
yeah
The center axis seems really uncomfortable.
it's more comfortable than it looks but it's a really tense position which makes it difficult to control your timing very well
Okay so what's this? Is that cup and saucer?
Okay so what's this? Is that cup and saucer?
weaver he just said that
weaver he just said that
Oh I missed it sorry What's best to use for revolvers?
Oh I missed it sorry What's best to use for revolvers?
thumbs crossed weaver, you don't want to use point shooting or CAR with revolvers since you've got body parts close to the cylinder, thumbs forward weaver has that problem and your thumbs could interfere with the cycling of the cylinder. you don't want to use point shooting with an M1911 either by the way, it likes to jam when you do
Thanks. Does anyone know where I can find just the bullets for 7.62 ammunition? (I'm assuming it doesn't matter if it's x54 or x39 or x38 since that's just the cartridge length right?) I would like to eventually re-purpose my fired cartridges but whenever I search for "7.62 bullets" or anything I can think of to distinguish it from the entire casing gunpowder and all, all I get is (really overpriced) already made ammunition. Would also help if I knew how much powder to put in the shells for x54
AFAIK the boolets are different lengths too.
Okay well still where can I get bullets for 7.62x54 and what kind of and how much gunpowder do I need for them
Okay well still where can I get bullets for 7.62x54 and what kind of and how much gunpowder do I need for them
7.62x54R surplus is cheaper than handloading unless you cast your own bullets
Okay well still where can I get bullets for 7.62x54 and what kind of and how much gunpowder do I need for them
Picking up bulk ammo is definitely cheaper than making them... http://gun-deals.com/ is a good place to find the best deal.
Blue paint job + sticker = War Crime
Fixed that up for ya.
Mind if you could take a picture of your SVT?
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/WPKk7.jpg[/img_thumb]
7.62x54R surplus is cheaper than handloading unless you cast your own bullets
I need to make my own for when I can't buy Surplus anymore. Can someone please just direct me to where I can buy bullets and powder please
sticker = "i want an intruder to laugh at me as he is robbing me of my valuables"
Reminds me of my friends North American Arms Mini Revolver. Someone breaks into your home: "Stop or i'll make you laugh"
I need to make my own for when I can't buy Surplus anymore. Can someone please just direct me to where I can buy bullets and powder please
Look on almost any site for "reloading supplies," look up the imperial diameter of the bullet, it's the same as the .30-06 and .308 for your Mosin, but the Revolver has a different one, that few sites stock. Reloading isn't something that one just jumps into, I'd advise buying/reading a book or two about it first, the initial investment is pretty large and if you don't need to reload, then don't, as it takes a while usually to recoup costs, even for the revolver it'll take a few thousand reloads to recoup the cost of the equipment versus buying it commercially. Usually reloading is done on more expensive or obscure calibres, for example, the Arisaka in 6.5Jap, that's uncommon and expensive, and won't take long to recoup costs given it's $2.40 a round commercially, and it's likely to be around $0.50 per round or less hand loaded. That, and you have more ready access to it if reloaded than commercially as it's obscure and only made by 2 companies, and AFAIK only stocked in 1 gun store in this province. Until the surplus all runs dry, which won't be for a fairly long time, don't worry about reloading. Not to mention the crate you have should last you a fair while.
I dont think surplus 7.62x54r will run out any time soon, cause the russian military still uses it it alot of their sniper rifles [editline]2nd April 2012[/editline] that and like every other russian rifle round
I need to make my own for when I can't buy Surplus anymore. Can someone please just direct me to where I can buy bullets and powder please
I buy most of my stuff for reloading from www.MidwayUSA.com I bought my presses there, I buy my dies there. Components like bullets, casings, powder and primers I'll buy locally from Sportsman's Warehouse. I currently reload 9mm, 5.56mm and have dies for 30 carbine and .308, but haven't started with them yet. Sportsman's and others like Gander Mtn will have supplies, and also have books and pamphlets on how to reload a particular caliber. Reloading isn't something you just wake up one day and say "I'm going to do this." It's expensive, and it requires patience and precision. Use the wrong powder, or the wrong amount, and you can lose your gun and your hand in an instant. This is my reloading gear for 4 calibers. And that doesn't even include the casings. I just recently bought a 1916 DWM Luger for $580 at the Tulsa Gun Show. Fucking amazing show. Also bought a matching, German WW1 Dreyse .32 ACP pistol for all of $170. No mag but M1900 mags work in the pistol and I already have an M1900 so I'm good. I'll have to get some pictures next time they're in my possession. The Luger was refurbished at some point down the line, and had a broken detent spring which took all of twenty minutes to fix with my dad. Other than that, great condition. I fucking love just messing with the weirdass toggle action. [editline]3rd April 2012[/editline]
hahahaha Good luck with that. The ammo is nearly impossible to find and the guns themselves are insanely expensive (I think mags alone are like $150 per)
The ammo's actually only like 50 cents a pop. Better than most rare ammunition, really. The guns are $19,000 and up though. Maybe around $4,000 for a semi auto clone if you're lucky.
Until the surplus all runs dry, which won't be for a fairly long time, don't worry about reloading.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/WPKk7.jpg[/img_thumb]
holy shit that is amazing.
Directed to Canadians but DaCommie1 in particular because he seems comfortable with the subject: when do you think the long gun registry will stop being operated? I'm wondering if I can hold off my first firearm purchase by a few weeks and hopefully have my weapon unrelated to me through a registry like the one we have set up now. Personally, I think I should wait it out for a while but, I should say, should I worry, and to what degree, about the firearms registry being used against me if I go ahead and make my purchase early or should I certainly wait it out?
Does anyone know anything about North Carolina fire arms code in relation to Automatics? ive read the manual but cant make much of it. the restrictions and way to get proper permits still confuses me

The latest estimate I've heard is fall hunting season, so I'm just going to guess they're going to abolish it as a birthday present to me around the May two-four weekend, meaning it'll probably be gone by Victoria Day. The data will be destroyed anyways, so if you want a nice gun, especially if it's hard to find, just buy it now, the data's getting scrapped along with it.
I'm looking for 7.62x39 for my Yugoslavian SKS and I'd like to get that 1120 round wooden crate but it's like $220 and Tul ammo sucks. What should I get yo? I'd rather buy in bulk from the internet
