Well I'm in Florida which were as lax as Texas on guns. I can find barrels full of AK variants at the local gun show. I'll just look around there I guess.
I guess not then, just go's to show how much I know about that sort of thing.
Well you CAN own automatics, you just need a permit.
An actual AK-47 would be very expensive. Look for AKM or something.
How do you define "very expensive"? I've found some for around $500. I'm willing to pay that for an AK-47. Though I'd rather have a PSL
Well do you mean like actually AK-47s made from 1947 to 1952? Those are true AK47s. Most are AKMs.
Well you CAN own automatics, you just need a permit.
What kind of permit? Like a "I need to mow down an entire family of chipmunks" permit? Or "I'm secretly a disgruntled worker/communist member" permit? :v:
No seriously though what kind and how much is it
Getting an old military AK-47 would be sort of hard. http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct1126.aspx this is AKM from a Saiga.
I might be wrong, an easy way to tell is by looking at the stock or dustcover to determine if 47 or AKM.
ugoslavian PAP Single-Stack AK-47 ???
AK47World.com has repeatedly bought out distributors of 10 round mags & there's virtually NO Single-Stack Romanian AK mags in the USA - other than a few you might find in auctions = you GOT SCREWED by the guy who SOD you the PAP Rifle !!
Faze...
Well an actual AK47 will cost you a few thousand. When I say AK47, I mean Tula or Ivhesk made rifle from those years.
And it's called a Class 3 liscense that I think costs a few hundred and you need a good reason why. I could be wrong though.

Oh. Yeah, no it doesn't really matter much to me if it was made in Russia or Romania or wherever. I'm not collecting the guns I'm getting them to fire.
The one I'm looking at is a Romanian AK-47 variant. I believe it is the semi-auto version of the PM md 63. They only want $500 for it. I think that's a pretty fair price, isn't it?
It looks exactly like an AK-47 and fires the same cartridge so...
Anyway what the hell do they consider a "Good reason" for a Class 3 license? I know that isn't a DEALER license so... yeah seriously.
Oh well then yeah the doors open to cheap shit if you don't want a authentic one. Seriously close your eyes and click, you'll find one. I just like military versions of guns.
And to be honest I really don't know. But you have to be 21 to apply for it. Just call the ATF or something :v:

You get fingerprints done and fill out a bunch of paperwork, send it to the ATF with a check for $200 and wait 6-8 months for them to decide if it's okay for you to have it. If they believe you are worthy, they'll send your forms back with a stamp of approval and then you can dump $10,000+ on one.
That's yours, isn't it Ridge? You've got a pink haired pony avatar just like that one.
[editline]4th April 2012[/editline]
Also seriously why would anyone do that? It makes the gun look RETARDED and completely undoes any notion that you're respectable and/or a badass.
Shit like that makes girly pepto bismol rifles look good.
Attach generator to Tovarische Simonov's grave, you could power entire motherland with energy of his spinning.

Nah, this one's mine.

Guys, calm your farms, it's not the original stock so why do you give two damns. If anything they probably have the original stock tucked away somewhere where it will be safe and can be place on the gun when the pony stock gets old. Let people live their pony fantasy's out.
Now, if it was the original stock and they painted over it then I would be pitchfork and burning torch with you guys.

Too much more and he could probably open a black hole bigger than the LHC.
I think painting a Chinese SKS's stock is a lesser crime, compared to hardcore Bubba rape.

Hnnng my favorite gun webstore just added a legit Russian 91-30 sniper rifle with PEM for 950€ as well as SVT-40 with a russian scope for 1200€
Goddammit I want a permit and I want money.
Which is a better scoped rifle? A 91-30 or an SVT-40
My family as a whole owns 3 .22 rifles. One LR, one Bolt Action, and one Semi Automatic. My father gave me the bolt action one for my 14th birthday. I don't want another .22
I'd like to use something larger than .22

Care to point me in the direction of a good Russian SKS? The only website I know is classicfirearms.co and they only have Yugoslavian ones.
Are Steyr Mannlicher Carbines any good? Specifically M95 and M95/34? Is the ammunition hard to find for them? What about Yugoslavian M24/47
Try Gunbroker. That's where we got ours.
Alright thanks guys.
Next purchase will be a $400 authentically scoped 91-30 and after that an ak-47
I swear to God, Facepunch has the widest fucking range of demographics on the face of the Internet.
You guys just prove that. Hell, the last page proves that.
I'll be picking up an M44 tomorrow, and possibly a Tokarev.

Do drawn dicks count?
Because boy, there's one hell of a lot in that thread...
I had a dream where I went out and bought two M44s for forty dollars.
It was a good dream.
