Alright, finally got some pics:
[IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/dWhvq.jpg?2[/IMG_thumb]
Got it for $105 + tax. The bolt has the smoothest action I've ever felt on a Mosin Nagant. The finish on the stock is in really good condition, too. No cosmoline, but the barrel was extremely dirty, like someone shot some corrosive Eastern Bloc surplus through it without bothering to clean it afterwards. It took a .30 brush, a .357 brush, a .30 swab, some Hoppes No.9, and a metric shitload of cleaning patches to get it clean.
Here's the markings on the receiver:

Hard to make out the date in the picture, since the markings are so worn. It's stamped 1942.
What, no, you guys aren't getting what I'm asking here. Apparently it's legal to ship weapons in-state to another private citizen. The USPS refuses to do it, so what we're trying to figure out is what we need to get straight to be able to do it with UPS.
I know all about the whole FFL situation, I've been around long enough to know that. I also mentioned that neither of us were 21...
You are shipping "machine parts"
But take it to a UPS Hub. the UPS Stores are all franchises and can tell you they won't ship.

If it were me shipping it, I would do exactly that. I guess I'll try and explain this to him as best I can. Ultimately it's down to how much he wants my money, I guess, and how much trouble he's willing to go through to legally get it to me.
Looking up the gun laws of Texas (haha what gun laws) since I'm thinking of moving there.
This cracked me right the fuck up
"Q: Is there a limit on the number of rounds a magazine may hold?
A: No. The only limit on magazines in Texas is the number of rounds you are physically able to cram into the thing and/or carry and/or afford"
Where do buy deactivated rpg.

If serious: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=271129871
Have a good one.
Is it possible to reactivate it / deintert it?
Not sure. You could probably try redoing everything from schematics/old training manual, but I'm not entirely sure.
I'm pretty sure they've removed the powder/chemicals from the warhead.
Or are you talking about the actual rifle?
Both.
I'm sure it wouldn't be THAT hard (relatively) to redo the 'rifle' mechanisms. But how hard would it be to get the warhead back into working order and/or find/buy working ones?
I've always wanted to fire an RPG

Though in all honesty just getting the actual rifle bit fixed would be hilarious. The reactions you'd get from friends and family from pretending to go apeshit and fire an RPG.
Granted it'd only work once but still. Hilarious.
There's a sporting goods/milsurp store here that sells demilled LAW tubes.
Damn, wax slugs seem like they would be great for home defense.

also, that hot glue slug is insane.
Finally! Been wanting to see the wax slugs on ballistic gel!
I visited a family friend yesterday, and knowing I'm a gun nut he decided to give me a look of his guns. Probably the coolest was a .38 lever-action (smooth as fuck) with a Docter red dot or his engraved break-barrel shotgun imported from Germany. He does a whole lot of hunting so most of his guns are practicool (not the break-barrel tough!).
I also asked him about Nuggets, since I'm looking forward to get one, and he said that he had a M44 but sold it last year. He engouraged me to get one since they are good for almost any hunting.
Going to my uncle's tomorrow. He has a ton of .22s and some other bigger stuff that I'm not sure of. Literally, he probably has 10,000+ rounds of .22LR stashed in his house. Also taking out the Nugget.
I love easter, me and my uncles/grand dad stand in the driveway and talk about cars
then we eat
and then we all somehow end up huddled around the gun safe fingerfucking my dads guns.

That hot glue slug was ridiculous.
What exactly is so special about these wax slugs? Also, how do you make them?

I think the premise is that you can fire them off without worrying a single bit about ricochet but they still fuck people up.
Seems like they're the poor man's fragmentation rounds. Or whatever the hell you call the bullets that act like bullets when they hit people but when they hit solid objects they shatter into little pieces and dust.
I don't get the point with them, either. I'll stick with JHPs.

Poor man's slugs, they're fairly accurate out to 50 yards. Useful for sighting in a shotgun, or just general accuracy.
I went Easter shooting with my carbines today.

Top to bottom: Czech made Steyr-Mannlicher M95 Carbine, Yugoslavian M48B Mauser, and my Izhevsk SKS-45.
M95 kicks like a mule, but is fun as hell to shoot (and expensive!), also got to shoot my friend's M1895 Nagant revolver, it was real fun and I cannot wait to pick one up for myself soon.
Like an idiot I didn't have my ears on all the way and shot my SKS-45 (shooting from inside the second level of my friends old barn), my left ear is still ringing.
If I had $3000 I'd immigrate to America and buy a Nugget. Australia's gun laws and politicians suck.
You can still buy nuggets in Aus. And mausers. And enfields especially. In otherwords, bolt actions and levers. Double barrel shotties aswell.

I don't even want to think about the kind of insane legal trouble you would get into for using that kind of stuff, though.

there isn't anything illegal about them
Cleaned out my gun locker, decided to take a family picture:

It's ridiculous that every single one of those is illegal in Australia

Only thing that isn't illegal here is the Mosin Nagant.

Well all bolt actions, levers and double barrels.
