Well all bolt actions, levers and double barrels.
Pump action rifles are legal too. My dad has one. It's essentially a Remington 870 shotgun in .223 and designed to take AR15 magazines

AR15 mags?
Here?
Legal?
pfft, hah.
frangible ammunition
Yes that thank you.

They are banned in WA and in Queensland can't have a magazine over 10 rounds. In SA we can stick 100 round drum mags on them if we want
I think you mean the No1 MkIII Lee Enfield, as the No3 is the name occasionally given to the US M1917.
Still, Walther PP and Radom Vis, I'm grape jelly.

oh awesome.
I need to find out if you can do the same in vic, even though i probably wont do it.

What kind of stock is that on the 10/22?
(Oh, and by the way, Krag Jørgensens are much smoother than Lee Enfields. Can't beat Norwegian engineering.)
Them's fightin words... but seriously to each his own. I think them Brits out did themselves with the Enfield.
But try doing a mad minute with the Krag, no bolt but the Enfield could put 38 rounds into a square-foot target at 300m in a minute. Granted, last time I used an Enfield I found the trigger had a bit of slack and that the bolt got a little tough just before the close, but that's because it wasn't a Long Branch, the best and most accurate No4s were the Canadian ones.

I saw one for sale once, was going for $800, so nope
30 rounders only cost $200
Last Enfield I shot was a Savage Lend Lease. It was a bubba, poor thing, my buddy has vowed to restore it. Maybe one day I can get some time on a Krag and see what all your fuss is about.
About the Mauser.. I'm unsure. I mean, it's a great offer, but I'm not sure I want a rusted barrel with no sights. It'd just stand in my safe and remain there until I got it destroyed after a year.
Is it free? If so, THEN TAKE IT AND SHIP IT TO ME. I will return it to its former self.

30 rounders around here are only $25, the problem becomes the rivet pinning them to 5...
[editline]9th April 2012[/editline]
Also, I'd call 38 aimed shots on-target at 300m in under a minute pretty damn accurate. One of the only guns from the era of the Enfield considered more accurate is the Canadian Ross Rifle, though it's also considered far less reliable, and evidently the Krag, but are those US Krags, Danish Krags, or Norwegian/Swedish Krags? Chances are they all perform differently as they all chamber a different cartridge.
My brother's sergeant has over 25,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo, all loaded in magazines, with a couple i m4's at his house, he says you can never be too prepared for the apocalypse.
Is he insane? I don't know.
Ask him if he's from /k/. Would not surprise me.

I have about 7000 in .22LR, .38 Special, .40 S&W, .30-30, .30-06, .270 Winchester, .410 bore, 12 gauge, 10 gauge
also anyone know any high capacity mags for the Mossberg 702 Plinkster? it's an amazing rifle but the 10 round capacity is really annoying and the 702 tactical mags look goofy in a plinkster

Do want badly.
Not sure if this was every posted in this thread, but how do you tell the difference between an M16 and an M16A1?
That's Robbaz's tumblr isn't it
M16s had integrated carrying handle/ironsights and lacked hand tearers. They had some oddball flash hiders too. 3 or 4 prong.
Thanks, does every model of the M16 have the bolt release catch? (That thing you slap on the side, I think that is what you call it)
Thanks, does every model of the M16 have the bolt release catch? (That thing you slap on the side, I think that is what you call it)
The forwards assist is a button on the right side that bulges out, looks similar to the base of a shell. Not on m16. on later models, yes.
So the guy that was gonna sell me the Takarov bailed on me :I
Thanks, does every model of the M16 have the bolt release catch? (That thing you slap on the side, I think that is what you call it)
The original did not. All later variants (A1, A2 etc) did.
He's talking about the bolt catch, not the forward assist.
Well, "the thing you slap on the side" sounds more like the assist to me...
Well, "the thing you slap on the side" IS the assist to me...
And yes iirc every model of the Stoner design has one. Not every AR-15 but anything built off the original Stoner design.
This is what your talking about right?
Actually, the AR-10 and the first M16 model did not have it. The latter had a lot of problems from this lack in Vietnam.
