AR-10 charging handle is that big thing under the carry handle.
And yes iirc every model of the Stoner design has one. Not every AR-15 but anything built off the original Stoner design.
This is what your talking about right?
Nah not the forward assist, I was talking about the little button on the left side.
[img_thumb]http://www.ar15news.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Phase-5-Tactical-EBR-Bolt-Catch-Release-removal.jpg[/img_thumb]
That little button sticking out the top there.
Oh, I understand now.
[editline]9th April 2012[/editline]
Still, the issue at hand is that AR-15s have too many things to slap on the side. It gets confusing.
I'm sorry but

this just looks bizarre.

Reminds me of the NCR Service Rifle in New Vegas.
Which is the reason why, if I ever manage to get my grabby hands on an AR-15 it shall be a full-length one with wood furniture.
But first I shall get a .308 Garand and name it This Machine.

If anyone has an hour to kill, Dr. Caillin Langmann presented a rather good testimony to the Senate during this long gun debate, and it infuriated the Liberals on Senate because he sourced only facts and did not use personal opinion or emotion, and presented cold-hard facts that directly shattered the Liberals' points of argument about the registry.
Some day...
Some day I will have the money for an M1.
How about joining the CMP and get one for around $600?

Civilian Marksmanship Program
M1 Garands, carbines, 1903s and a couple other guns all shipped directly to your door courtesy of the US gov't.
Ohhh, Civilian Marksmanship Program? Sounds interesting.

Actually I might be really interested in this, thanks guys

Oh nice!
I can see why they list the Krag as "junk" though, especially because so many of them aren't true carbines but "cut-offs".
But try doing a mad minute with the Krag, no bolt but the Enfield could put 38 rounds into a square-foot target at 300m in a minute. Granted, last time I used an Enfield I found the trigger had a bit of slack and that the bolt got a little tough just before the close, but that's because it wasn't a Long Branch, the best and most accurate No4s were the Canadian ones.
I'm happy with my aussie No.1 Lithgow.

alright, now i have to save up for a garand
[editline]9th April 2012[/editline]
OR i could drive over there, haggle for a cheap Krag, then make an Obrez! I'd be the only one with a Kragrez!
Just got done shooting. 40 through the Nugget, a mag from an AR-15, few mags from a Glock 17, and a mag through a sub-compact Springfield XD in .40S&W. I got really great groupings with the handguns at 35-40 feet, Nugget at 150 feet were ok groupings.
Yeahhhh, I seriously question whether or not half of those Krags are even safe to fire, let alone modify :v:
I mean, they've been parade weapons for quite some time. Hell, if you bought one without inspecting it mail-order, you risk getting a welded bolt and ground-down rifling.
[editline]9th April 2012[/editline]
Maybe even a cut receiver.
Nah, I think it looks nice. Lovin' that charging handle.
It's just I've never seen an AR type rifle with wood furniture before. Always either composite or metal.

Was the Nugget scoped or no?
God I wanna get my hands on a PEM/PE scope. The tapping looks far more complicated than I'm capable of, though (six separate taps?!)
No scope, just iron sights.
No scope, just iron sights.
Have you ever shot with a scope? If so, which do you prefer?
My new Luger that I got for $580 in Tulsa. It's mismatched, but in great condition and it's insanely fun to shoot. I need a new mag for it though, the shitty reproductions don't lock back on the last shot. Most of the parts have Imperial German proof stamps, so I'm assuming most of it is from WW1.

And the other pistol I bought, an Imperial German Dreyse M1907, complete with Imperial proof stamps which prove its use in the Imperial Army, and all matching numbers. Got it for $170.

One seventy for a fucking dreyse? How the fuck?
$580 for a Luger? Fuck I'm jealous.
[editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
jealous as fuck
One seventy for a fucking dreyse? How the fuck?
I got both of them from the same guy. His prices were amazing, and for some reason he haggled himself down on both of them. I'd ask him if he would do $590 on the Luger, he said he could do $580. The only problem with the Dreyse is the fact that it has no magazine, but I already have an M1900, and the magazines are interchangeable.
