Are they truly universal?
Yea, your side rail shouldn't be any different from any other one.
Yea, your side rail shouldn't be any different from any other one.
So any side rail for the most part will fit any AK? Good to know.
There's only one thing to keep in mind and it's that SVD attachments won't fit an AK side rail, and vice versa.
Any AK type rail should take all AK type mount attachments.
Well I don't have "AK" attachments. I have the normal rail mount attachments. I just need something to put it on to keep it sighted in.
i'd choose a tank because intimidation power
I'd choose an F350 dualie. ok on gas and it's a big motherfucker
or maybe just a ford f750

wat
(I know you have a PAP and rail mounted RDS, AK is just the type of siderail. Short (Kalashnikov) type.)
With "attachment" I mean a scope, aiming device or siderail to rail adapter.
Just get a Weaver or Picatinny rail for an AK side mount. They'll fit.
This?

That's the first time I've heard someone use "Ford" and "okay on gas" in the same sentence :v:
If your AK is lacking side rail mounts like this: [IMG_THUMB]http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/media3/T2leftrecsmall.jpg [/IMG_THUMB]
How does one go about installing one? I found these: http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/bstmounts.html
But from my understanding, I would have to give it to a gun smith because it requires some riveting?

I mean compared to a tank
a lot of ford light duty pickups get better mileage than my chevy sedan. I get around 23 highway
i'd choose a tank because intimidation power
Who are you going to intimidate? The zombies? The insects? That corpse?
I like what they did in the Dawn of the Dead remake.
Take a bus, gut it, chainlink over the windows, gun ports, a plow or cow catcher. Maybe cut a hole in the floor so you can drive up to a gas station, park over the tank fillers and siphon gas directly from there.

And put the chainsaws on rails so you don't accidentally fucking SAW YOUR OWN PEOPLE IN HALF.

I could get a bus pretty easy if shtf too, that's not a bad idea at all
all this survivalist talk makes me fap to the idea of getting a 10/22 gatling gun conversion kit, and making it work with a ruger mini14
come at me hinds

EMP proof 4 lyfe
Hinds are gonna laugh at your .223 as they tear you apart, man. Need 7.62 at the very least.
lol hinds really Con?
You think you're going to take a military helicopter down with .22 ammunition?
Boy that shit'll bounce off a hind like bb's off a steel plate.
[editline]17th April 2012[/editline]
Also nope not EMP proof.
All internal combustion engines require spark plugs and batteries to function. Guess what the EMP will destroy? Also your starter solenoid.

what is this I don't even.
EDIT: why won't media tags work what the fuck.
Over the weekend I shot through a penny with a .22 revolver from thirty feet away.
Most of it was just pure luck, but it's still pretty cool.

Pretty sure most vital bits on the Hind are reinforced against 12.7mm at the least and I believe against 20mm in some spots

Here's a list of them:

i already know what guns they use, i was just wondering if anyone knew how hard it would be to get the specific model that they use because it happens they aren't making them anymore

EMPs will only fry complex circuits. They are static charges. Batteries and spark plugs will not be damaged by static buildup. His solenoid is the greatest danger. And you can always store another in a Faraday cage.
what's better? a hind or an apache?
what's better? a hind or an apache?
At what? Because each has its respective advantages and disadvantages that make it better or worse in various situations
[editline]17th April 2012[/editline]
Overall I'd probably give it to the Apache since its simply a newer design with a bit more of a focus on a particular role.
In fact the Hind doesnt really compare to the Apache, its more like a Blackhawk. I'd say comparing the Havoc to the Apache would be more reasonable.
my car would be wrecked if you hit it with an emp
fortunately emps aren't exactly something I have to worry about at the moment

mini 14 is not .22 bebbeh.
what's better? a hind or an apache?
Different roles.
But if the SHTF in the US, you're more likely to face an Apache assuming the remaining US govt would probably use them for CAS and Area-Denial.
That being said, good luck taking them out with anything short of a 40mm cannon, or a anti-air missile.
If i remember right the glass and cockpit of the Apache are rated up to 20mm fire. And with the twin engines they can take a few hits outside of the cockpit.
Hinds are pretty awesome too though.
yeah i dunno it might have been some dumbass who i was talking to.. but i remember a conversation i had a while after i saw some documentary that totally sucked the apache's dick off basically saying it's a flying tank weapons platform.
the guy said that the hind is completely superior to the apache. it's not like he changed my mind, i knew the apache was pretty badass but i knew jack shit about the hind.
[editline]16th April 2012[/editline]
and how the fuck do ejection systems work in helicopters...
they detach the rotors first, then eject like an airplane IIRC
EMPs only fry microelectronics, that's why Russian fighter jets used valves up until the 1980s as nuclear proofing. Apparently American scientists where stunned when a Russian MiG defected to Japan in the 70s and found the jet was running valves
