It says 430 fps on the tin but not only do they measure that with .12g, the gearbox is made out of woodchips and clay. It fucking disintegrated after a few weeks. I'll be buying my first [i]real[/i] gun soon.
The Aftermath Kraken isn't that bad, it's a rebranded CYMA 028 iirc.
yeah, but I heard CYMA has at least moderately reliable guns. My Kraken was wobbly as hell and the stock was ridiculously flimsy, in addition to the sub-par mechbox.
don't get me started on the Kirenex.
dustcover broke first day, it was heavy as fuck despite its awfulness, the OD green is puke colored, the flashhider is metal but entirely orange so you can't get rid of it....
It also has an ugly as fuck watermark on the magwell

My kraken worked great for 2 years when I started airsoft, sold it after. My friend has one that has lasted like 4 years now. Some people have them break at the first game.

I pissed off my friend who also wants to build up a M16 by buying that barrel for $20. After I told him he called the store to see if they had any other used M16 barrels, nope, I took the only one. Needless to say he was pissed.

actually, do you mind me asking how you removed the handguard and outer barrel off the CM; I tried fitting on the CA SR25 rails on my friend's CM but I have no fucking idea how to get the front end off
A bit hard to explain but I'll try my best. This is for standard handguard models only. If you have a stock RIS CM M4, then I can't help you, never taken one off.
Remove the handguards, look at the delta ring.
Spin the teeth of the delta ring, there are actually 2 cut outs on it that need to be lined up with the 2 tabs on the back half of the delta ring, you should be able to see these both when you spin it. Line them up and pull the toothed section straight out.
After that it becomes pretty clear what to do. Simply twist the remaining ring Counter Clockwise to remove it.
