So my brother just popped the pins out, cut the gas tube inside in half, and re-assembled it without the bottom section. Now neither of my mags for it leak, so i can use it as a sidearm. Short mags mean it fits really nicely in the holster i've got, too.

Regardless of opinion ARES is worlds better than this. Judging by the lame trademarks, cheap plastic, and abnormal iron sights, I'd have to say it's an LPEG, probably the Umarex AEG/Spring G36 hybrid, which I see on low end websites pretty often. I bought an ACOG Replica that hasn't arrived yet. It's a little bit plain right now but thats going to change.

He thought it was ARES because it had trademarks. I laughed. Thing is a piece of shit. I mean, yeah the springer function is nice, but the gun is still shit. Electric portion of the gun was already broken. Then I pulled out my WE G36K from my rifle bag, told him this is what a G36 should be, and that the ARES version would have similar quality plastic. He just started drooling.
