The kick is pretty hard, but hard to say considering I've never fired a real gun. The sound is amazing. You hear that nice loud metal whack everytime you shoot it. Pretty damn loud when I dry fired it inside the house. I'll try to do a quick helmet cam video of it tomorrow.
^ That's sort of what I'm going for. Though I would like to have a second stock to paint for that though. Anyone have any ideas what sort of scope mount is being used there? It looks really low profile compared to all the other mounts I've seen. Almost looks like it's bolted right on there.
Theres the mount. I really dont know what its called though.
Ok, sweet. Looking forward to it.

Not sure what that particular one is, but I recall hearing about the ARMS #18 mount used for the M14/M1A to get that low-profile look.
I'll find pictures or something for you.

That's the ARMS 18, doesn't look the same though, but it's nice and low profile.

It actually looks like the standard QC mount for the M68 sight just, welded on there or something.
Hmm, I think I'll pass on the welding. Probably will just go with a low profile mount of sorts, whatever I can find that fits G&G or CA M14s.
theres alot of M14 mounts out there just gotta find the right one

Yeah, don't weld it on or do any sort of permanent attaching of it.
I'd suggest looking at that ARMS #18, not sure how easy it'd be to buy one, but it looks nice and low-profile.

Also get that Specter sight Element is making.
-snipty.
Shughart is a badass.

I have one like that for my M14, it's quite good.

Wow, just looked at the pricing of the ARMS #18 mount, over $150 for a real one. All of that for a piece of metal, seems like a rip off to me, and this is coming from someone who could machine one if I really wanted to.
The Specter scope from Element does look promising, but for it to sell me it needs the 1-4x magnification and have a fairly long eye relief, at least more than my current ACOG.
Fuck that looks good.
Stock looks a bit too new from this angle though, scratch it up a bit?
Edit:
Also, care to explain how you did the wood? You can PM me if you want so as not to clog the thread.
The wood is the way i bought it from my team leader, but i can tell you how. I'm guessing he sanded the original stain, dragged it behind his car/ beat the crap out of it, and retained it with red mahogany stain.
How do you do that paracord wrap thing exactly?
I'll make a guide on how to do it. I just gotta take off the paracord on one of my ak's.
As for the scratched to hell metal job, I just used a sand sponge

Yeah, I'd machine it myself if I were you, you could make an even lower profile one.
Also, I'm pretty sure Element's Specter sight will have the 1-4x, unlike that one that's already on Ebairsoft. I might try and pick one up when they get released.
The eye-relief, I'm not too sure about. I doubt it'd be too bad, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's longer than the ACOG's.

Neat paintjob there.
Just replace the strap.
Got a new Hi Capa from TM (Also my G36C and AR10):

also question, how far should my AR10 shoot straight with 300(ish) fps and tightbore?
Note: It's 300 because the closest airsoft place from where I live limits the fps of AEGs and GBBs to 300 unless you got a sniper rifle
[editline]hurr[/editline]
AR10 is Classic Army, G36c is TM

Do you live in Japan or something? That's a pretty low FPS limit.
California :saddowns:
Here's the field's rules (last time I went in they were like, "O lol, ur fps kent b ovur 300 lolololol" and paintball masks are a requirement)
In Japan though, me and my cousins have a spring pistol-fest in the junkyard behind my grandma's house :iia:

Seriously can you guys read? This is the second time I've cleared something up just by looking at the given page for, no kidding, not even a second. It's even in bold.
4. The maximum fps for any airsoft gun on an outdoor field is no more then 400 fps* (*some parks my have lower speeds so check each fields requirements before showing up to play.)
I go there occasionally. The limit is 400. It's 300 for paintball guns.

well shit, I saw the 400 there but the staffers there were like no, 300
brb upgrading 'cause my AR10's bullet grouping is shit
Get a tight bore. Best bang for your buck upgrade for most AEGs. Also, new hopup, I haven't heard *great* things about the CA, especially older ones (if that is older, I dunno).
Also, why do you have G36 mags triple-stacked? It might just be me, but that seems like it's asking for the pins that hold them together to fail and for you to lose mags (I've lost them with only two pinned together haha)
I triple stack my SIG mags. It doesn't feel so weak.

already got a tightbore in there but you're right, the hopup sucks: the hopup (for example to keep things simple) could go up 10 knotches but I can't align it to the 8th knotch because what happens is that when I align it to the 9th knotch, it makes a clicking sound and if I attempt to turn down the hopup to the 8th, it 'slips' and goes to the 7th, making it impossible to tune it right (8th knotch being the ideal hopup)
note that my hopup doesn't have notches and I use that as an example so it's easier to explain
also, I only triple stacked it to see what it'd look like; obviously I wouldn't stack in a game :v:
Got 2 possible setups for the WE M14. Yes I know that bright orange flash hider needs to go, I just haven't had the time to work on it.
First is the Aimpoint setup, probably more practical for this rifle right now. It's no DMR yet, so a red dot should work fine.

Second setup is with the scope.

Looks worlds better with the second scope.
If you keep it the way it is now go with the regular rifle scope. Now if you paint it a different color and replace the heatshield with RIS you can go with the aimpoint.
It does. I'd love to use it that way, but the accuracy just isn't there yet. I'll be tossing in some heavier bbs than .25g and see what happens. If it's still not great I'll use the Aimpoint for next weekends game, but if it shows some accuracy I'll use the scope.
If you keep it the way it is now go with the regular rifle scope. Now if you paint it a different color and replace the heatshield with RIS you can go with the aimpoint.
I won't paint it until I know I can buy another compatible sock. Plus I rather not add more weight with the addition of the RIS, this gun is heavy enough as it is. Even then it's not worth buying it if I'm only putting the aimpoint on it.
Also, get a black heatsheild PRONTO. The current brown plastic one makes baby Jesus cry.
