I wear glasses to Airsoft. Feels bad man. I haven't invested in a good facemask either because in another two months I figure I'm just going to buy a really good pair of goggles and a brass-guard instead.
Ive always made an effort to put personal comfort before armaments in airsoft. Ive never regretted the decision. Becasue whats the point of having a sweet gun if you run around with foggy goggles, wet feet, and are freezing/drenched in rain? It just sucks the fun right out of it.
The way I see it I have two months before I don't need a full face mask. I don't want to spend $80 that I don't have to only use the mask three or four times before I'll put it away and never touch the thing again. I've never had a problem with wet feet or being cold/wet. My Soft Shell is an all conditions performer and luckily I haven't had a huge problem with my Desert Boots getting wet, although we'll see what happens when it starts snowing, my Dad said he'd get me a pair of new boots if I need them so I'm not worried, I'd prefer to not spend the money if I don't need too though.
Speaking of tactical shotguns here's a shotgun I bought a few months back. Mainly got it to see if I could transfer the M4 stock to my M1014, but turns out the mounts are different. It's a single shot shotgun, so it has limited use. Range sucks and the hop-up doesn't work to well. But for clearing buildings using the strobe it's a beast. Wouldn't believe how many people were asking about this shotgun when I brought it to CQB City. Funny, just about every single accesory on here costs more than the gun itself. You could only imaging what my burst fire shotguns would look like if I could attach a M4 stock to them and other accessories. I was thinking along the lines of adding a heatshield, AFG on the pump, CTR or UBR stock and some sort of small optic.

"Man up." I've layed in ditches and shit, covered in mosquitoes and I contracted ringworm. Never once did I regret it. Why? Because as much as it's a simulation, it's prepping me for what it's going to be like when I enlist. I'd play if it was freezing cold or raining. It builds character, and it makes you respect the amenities that we take for granted. In no way am I trying to offend you or anything, just sharing my viewpoint.

A game is designed to be fun, why would I want to feel uncomfortable? Thats no fun. I would rather shell out extra cash to keep myself dry, warm, and healthy than cheap out and feel like shit three days after I play. I think you may have read my post wrong. I wont NOT PLAY due to adverse conditions (Hell, I love me some shitty weather in airsoft, totally adds to the immersion), but Im going to do everything in my power to make myself as comfortable as possible. And to respond to the fact that its prepping you for what its going to be like when you enlist: The army wants to keep its soldiers comfortable too, they arent going to ship you off to Alaska in nothing but skivvies. A warm, dry, comfortable soldier is bound to fight better than a ringworm infected, mosquito bitten mess with nothing but torn BDUs in a rainstorm. [editline]2nd December 2010[/editline] I mean hey, if you have fun beating yourself up over a game, by all means, more power to you. Ive met guys who did no shooting the entire day and just spent the it hacking through underbrush and sitting in one spot only to get slaughtered by an armored convoy, they claimed to have had a great time. Whatever floats your boat.

I often keep snacks to snack on during airsoft. I eat razor wire and broken glass for snacks. (adds to the immersion by making me think i'm eating a real MRE)
I often keep snacks to snack on during airsoft. I eat razor wire and broken glass for snacks. If I do get another one of those M87s, i will probably buy some BUIS for it.
I got bored and I attached a mag pouch from my thigh molle apparatus thing to my G36c stock as well as taping the 2 locap mags together because G36 mags are fucking impossible to take out of M4 pouches; also because the plastic mag clamp broke
that looks decent
that looks decent
For some reason, I never really liked how my G36c looked ever (plus the loadout choices are meh) Here's another pic [sp]But my TM G36c is my first gun; she is my baby <3[/sp]
Speaking of tactical shotguns here's a shotgun I bought a few months back. so tacticool it hurts like it causes me physical pain im crying right now
If you want to sort of even out the look on your G36C, get a G36K handguard and barrel. It just looks too cramped right now in my opinion.
I have to post this or my head might explode from the tacticalness that should even the page out nicely.
Nah, gonna make it uneven.
Nah, gonna make it uneven. [img_thumb]http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/4629/dsc0138cy.jpg[/img_thumb]
OH YOU SON OF A BITCH. Actually, lose the ACOG and the PEQ and just mount the mini red dot and you have something that actually looks pretty sweet. But for the sake of an even page: ' Hard to get less tacticool than a side-by-side. And dont anyone dare post a picture of a Stoeger double defense or I will murderize them.
That...Actually looks OK. Edit: The MP7 I mean.
I'd love one of those.
I'd love to have one of...well, probably anything but what I have. Not really related, but...I should take the innards out of my gun before painting it, right?
I'd love to have one of...well, probably anything but what I have. Not really related, but...I should take the innards out of my gun before painting it, right?
I usually just tape up parts that I don't want painted.
I'd love to have one of...well, probably anything but what I have. Not really related, but...I should take the innards out of my gun before painting it, right?
Depends on the gun. Usually yes you should take them out, but if you can tape up all the openings you can leave the gearbox and so forth inside. For my SR25 I put some painters tape in the magwell, the inside of the upper receiver over the ejection port and some between the upper and lower receivers. I also taped up the lens of the scope as well as the magnification adjustment dial so I could still read it. You can see where I placed the tape.
that looks pretty nice ender
I'd love to paint one of my guns, but I'm mortified at the idea that the paint leaks under the tape.
I'd love to paint one of my guns, but I'm mortified at the idea that the paint leaks under the tape.
I'm actually more along the lines of, "oh I hate this color now that I've had it for 2 weeks, fffu, now I gotta repaint it to something else" :smith:
I'm actually more along the lines of, "oh I hate this color now that I've had it for 2 weeks, fffu, now I gotta repaint it to something else" :smith:
Yeah, this entirely. I don't have enough money to have multiple guns for multiple environments or the patience to remove and repaint guns.
There are times I regret painting the SR25 that way, and other times where I love it. Depending on the environment it can be quite effective, or stick out like a sore thumb. It came like this when I got it in a trade. The best thing to do before painting your gun is trying several techniques on some pieces of cardboard or some other cheap material. Try doing light coats, little taps of spray, using stencils, free handing patterns, and other methods.
I think I jizzed twice when I saw that gun. I have an absolutely nerdgasm over DMR's.

Hnnnnnggggg
If you're "hnnnngggg"-ing at that, then you've obviously never seen a fully decked out SR-25.
