I long for another M60 so much :frown:
Man it looks so bare without trades.
Put an FP logo on the magwell, win bitches.
I'm selling it on Saturday. After a year of service and shooting past field limits, my SR-25 will be sold to another, to carry on the legacy of choking bitches.

52mm moetar

Pretty sweet actually. It's got a good weight to it, the mag doesn't leak, you get about 250 shots out of one CO2 cartridge. And it's licensed. All in all, it's worth the $50.

Do you know how hard it shoots? I know those CO2 NBBs tend to shoot a little hot.
With .12's about 450, with .20's, about 320-350.
You can cut out the .12 stuff. Nobody uses them.
I just literally wrote what was on the box.

Got the ladder covers, $5 for two, and the Magpul MOE grip, for $5 also. Good deal IMO. The vendor there is way cheaper than any of the sites, and the players get discounts.
That's not an MOE grip...
EDIT: Oh, you mean the RVG. Sorry.
Yeah, that's the one. I don't know why I said MOE when it says RVG on the front.
Nice find, I'm jelly.
Too much MagPul. This stuff is everywhere.
What good does MagPul stuff do, anyway, apart from making your gun look "unique" (at least until everyone starts using it, like they do now)? It also costs too much.

Uh, no. It costs more than most clone furniture, because, well it's not clone. When you start comparing it to other stuff on its level (made by RS manufacturers, that is) their pricing is actually very reasonable. And what does it do? It's ergonomic, it's very comfortable to use.
And what does it do? It's ergonomic, it's very comfortable to use.
Most of its just Gucci for guns as far as Im concerned. Its great stuff for real steel, but the benefits that it gives you on RS (Better recoil control mainly) are mostly lost on airsoft guns, so it just becomes overly expensive and pointless for the cost.
But when you can find it for good prices its not a terrible idea to get it, since most of it is pretty comfortable.
I don't see how an MOE stock would be any more comfortable than a regular stock.

It's lighter. And those rubber buttpads are actually very nice to shoulder.
EDIT: Also, the recessed controls can't be activated accidentally as easily, and the texture on them makes it easier to use when its wet or your hands are numb from cold.
What it the purpose of an MOE handguard? The boxy one. It's uncomfortable to hold, odd looking and just doesn't seem to have a purpose like their stocks do.

My local shop has a single metal rear backup sight that costs $7 whole dollars less than a MagPul MBUS rear sight. Which isn't metal (can save on the weight, but not enough tradeoff for me right now). The $30 metal backup sight is not a clone and doesn't even look anything like the MBUS. I believe it's a real steel backup sight, too.

If by "ergonomic" you mean "a bit uncomfortable and strange-looking with few benefits in airsoft," then yes, it is very ergonomic.

Exactly this. I have absolutely no need for any of it - it's already more cliched than Stoners are in this community. When/if I get more parts for my soon-to-be VFC, it'll involve an RIS and a crane stock, not MagPul parts. They don't even look right anyway. Rail covers and a foregrip on an RIS look a whole lot more interesting to me than MOE grips.
It's more comfortable to hold the RVG/MOE as far as I'm concerned. I had a regular grip on there yesterday till I caved about the RVG. I noticed a difference of how in felt in my hand.
And the whole "too much Magpul" comment made me laugh. There's the ladder covers, so I don't cut myself (again), and the grip. I could have the mags, stocks, and sights, but I don't. I'm going to get some thermal hi-caps from G&G though. $4.50 a pop. Not bad.
Let me throw this in too. Everything is stock, except the ladder covers and grip. The ACOG wasn't part of it, but you guys knew that.
I use a lot of Magpul accesories and here's why.
Magpul MOE Stock
Allows me hold a longer buffer tube lipo battery due to the rubber butt pad. Using an LE stock with the back open would just let the battery fall out. It also offers more points to mount a sling, and the CTR version has a QD sling mount as well as locking the stock down on the tube to stop any wobble.
MOE Grip
Really this is just a preference. It's wider and larger than your standard M4 grip and I feel I can get a better grip on it. Feels better in my hands too, maybe it's because it feels similar to the G36 grip that I've used for so many years.
RVG
Best vertical grip I've used. Other grips tend to be too thin, or too boxy, mainly near the rail. The RVG is contoured with the rail and it feels better, especially when using the grip Magpul teaches on the rifle.
PMAGs
These mags are durable as hell, can truly take a beating. I have not damaged a single PMAG midcap or hicap, while I have broken standard metal hicaps and plastic midcaps. They're easier to grip pulling out of your pouches due to the ribbed design.
AFG
Ok this one I don't use as much. It definitely takes a while getting used to this accessory. For your standard 7in railed M4, it's not ideal. You want at least 9-12" of rail space. Mounting the AFG further forward gives you control of the rifle, being able to quickly point it in the direction you want and accurately. You AK purists will hate me for this, but I find the AFG the most comfortable on an AK. It just feels like it belongs there.
I don't use this however.
MOE Handguard
I see a lot of people using these, but I don't care for them that much. They don't have nearly as much battery room as standard M4 handguards. The advantage of them is being able to mount only the rails you want, but to me it doesn't and will never look as cool as any aftermarket RIS/RAS.
I'm also slightly biased because I was working on my own before Magpul even released theirs. Couple of days before I go to 3D print mine they announce their MOE handguard with nearly the same features as mine. My idea was to make a G36 feeling handguard that you could mount rails to where you wanted. Mine is thinner than the Magpul MOE as well.
Here's what I made.

Sure, there are cheaper products. But they're not big name RS manufacturers, which MagPul is. Iron Sights from a big manufacturer (Troy, LaRue, etc) are typically far more expensive than MBUS. The fact that you found a cheaper one really doesn't mean anything.
If by "ergonomic" you mean "a bit uncomfortable and strange-looking with few benefits in airsoft," then yes, it is very ergonomic.
Ever held an RVG or MOE grip or even the AFG? It's a little different, sure, but they're comfortable to use and can be useful. Are they as useful as they would be for an RS shooter? No, but that's true of most accessories.

I'm just going to point out that MOE (Magpul Original Equipment, btw) handguards aren't meant to replace a rail system. They're a lightweight and more modular version of the handguards that're seen on stock AR platforms.
I'd like to point out, guys, that I'm not even a huge fan of Magpul. It's just gotten really cool to bash them and I think that's kinda dumb. They make cool stuff, and sell it for decent prices. It got really popular among airsofters (as it's RS stuff we can afford) and now it's become a big thing to hate on MagPul because it's popular. I think that's kinda moronic.
I hear Magpul is making a smaller version of the AFG, because people were complaining about how it took up too much space on a rail, so they're trying to make a version at least half the size that it is now, so that you can mount an M203 or torch underneath. I'm happy with what I have on it though. It's simplistic. I got a lot of compliments on the look of it yesterday.
That one actually doesn't look too bad.
Yet the one I posted has 88% less Magpul accessories, and you said mine was too much. Logical.
I think I have the majority of Magpul accessories on this setup. If any gun has too much Magpul, this is one of them.
