The TAR 21 is about the same length as an M4 with the stock completely down but it still has a M16 length inner barrel which is awesome, you don't really grasp how long the barrel on a TAR 21 is compared to an M4 without having them side to side. With my M4 stock out a few positions (This is the position I ALWAYS use it at, I even have a notch engraved in the buffertube) it's obviously shorter then the M4.
It also has the greatest packing job I've ever seen.
