almost all canadian music comes from ontario though :/
I'm in Québec and there are a lot of good artists here, you probably don't hear about them because of the silly divisions between English and French and between provinces in Canada. Surprisingly, our music videos look better than most of our films! Jean Leloup Cœur de Pirate Malajube Alfa Rococo And since I am also French: Noir Désir Indochine Tryö Mickey 3D Louise Attaque [editline]20th March 2011[/editline]
it's not fair to the other countries that we have all the best bands let them have their fun
I would argue that the UK should be excluded as well. I think the point is that English-language music is much more accessible to the entire world because it goes through the US if it's good enough, and since the US is currently the leading country in the world it makes it hard for other countries and languages to compete on a global scale. There are many, many great bands and musicians everywhere, but people don't hear about them as much. Oh, also, this is an English-language forum and most people are either from the United States or Great Britain, so the Music forum is full of it. While some people pointed out in a thread I made a while ago that anybody could post any kind of music in the forum, it is undeniable that less people would feel inclined to listen to things they don't know and don't understand (as opposed to, say, Pink Floyd), so it doesn't get anywhere. Threads dedicated to under-appreciated music make it much easier to find cool stuff that's not the same old "classics" from the US and the UK. Also, the Norwegian/s did not mention this one, so I feel obligated to do so: Kaizers Orchestra
Germany (i really wish i was from there, but i'm from the country mentioned in the title, so i'd probably be better off posting something different) Die Fantastischen Vier: Rammstein (obviously, BUT HEAR ME OUT, they have some really chill songs not a lot of people know about)
Amazing, you posts two videos from my homecountry, and I can't watch them due to some copyright shit. Oh the irony. But nonetheless, Rammstein are awesome, and when I saw the title I was going to post them. Beatsteaks Peter Fox Die Ärzte
Can't forget that Canadian.
