MS Paint Adventures is a collection of webcomics by artist and comedian Andrew Hussie (ABDREW HORSIE). Currently there are 4 comics stored on the website. 2 Complete and 2 going.
Homestuck:
"A continent westward, and years in the past..."
Pages count: 3000 and rising.
A true piece of literary art. Each page is usually at LEAST a single 650px × 450px picture, with text. Pictures are done in few different styles with different purposes. They are often animated GIFs, even just to give impression of moving smoke, falling rain, or shifting glow. Most is done using stylized sprites, which are rather unique and give the whole thing a feel of a vintage adventure game, which was the primary motive at start.
Another whole branch of pages are flash pages, tagged [S]. They are flash animations, often with art from guest authors. They are often unique, peculiar even. Some have excellent pacing, some have emotional impact. They use music from community from various authors. The music is also purchasable in form of volumes.
The text is extremely stylized and polished. It's very rich, often uses repeat of patterns and phrases to point out analogies and callbacks. One of distinctive features is that dialogues are almost exclusively handled in form of chatlogs. Characters have rather polished and distinctive writing styles. There are words used, specifically created by the author for the story. While you can't find them in dictionary, they make perfect sense in the story, and their use highly spices the text up.
Story starts at young boy on day of his birthday, about to play a game. The start is picking off rather slowly. I can't really say much about the story, as it's rather spoiler prone, as many things are not meant to be known till later, but I can assure you that it takes rather unpredictable turns, and gains enormous complexity.
There are 4 main characters, with another sort of semi-secondary 12 added later, with total count of unique recurring characters of about 30.
I don't like usage of this word on internet, that I can assure you that this is the right occasion to use it at.
It's pretty fucking epic.

Quotes, most are about homestuck.
MSPA is the greatest thing ever because not only is it's humor and sense of style top notch, it's defined by us, the users. Every major decision is driven by us, the readers.
Also, let it be known that when Homestuck first started and I got off the high of PS ending, (I started reading at chapter 7 of PS) My friend and I were both naysayers that would think that this story would be horrible, mostly because of the stupid flash crap. However, we gave it a chance and we were not disappointed. Both of us still actively read it.

Home stuck is an extraordinary tale about ordinary children in extraordinary situations, with each of the children having a unique, likable personality. What begins as an average tale of a couple friends playing video games, transforms into outrageous fantasy epic where the tiniest detail becomes important, weaving into the complex plot. The visuals majestic, each frame taking into account and every detail thought out and returned to, giving a tale that makes you want to read, discuss, and enjoy.

Act 1: doo dee doo dee doo dee OH SHIT *******

Homestuck is an adventure where you can read it three times over and still find some little detail you missed before.

MSPA is great because of its humor, creativity, strangeness, drawing quality and being an all around addictive read.

Deliriously biznasty weird time shit.

In my opinion, Homestuck has an actual literal value, often strongly surpassing modern popular literature (lol Twilight) in terms of plot, character development, and general creativity, given the sci-fi aim of the comic. The amount of symbolism, detail, and small nuances is stunning, and Andrew puts an incredible amount of effort into it. It's comics, so in compared to book, the texts are much sparser, and partially replaced by imagery, both still and animated. On one side, this gives Andrew power to control the flow of his story and characters more directly, but doesn't overly limit the readers imagination, as the story is often told in pictures which show the reality much more loosely than a written description would. The whole art piece is completed with stylized imagery, which is simplified, but certainly not ugly. Actually, the whole story is told in "stylized patterns", which again add depth and make you wonder what mastermind could create something as incredible at such a speed. The rare [S] flash animations, are mainly lately extremely dynamic, and supported by perfectly fitting music, again of very high quality.
Again, I take Homestuck as an unforgettable piece of art, which anybody with some time and taste compatible with its complex cryptic story and stylized ways of storytelling will extremely enjoy.

It starts out like its a simple story/plot then bam, the weird time and plot shit hits.

i wish one day they would study homestuck like shakespeare
a man can dream

Awesome music, interesting plot, the little details, it's just great.

Incredibly addicting to read and funny at times. It may seem boring, but read and read and eventually you will be hooked. Has very good music, too.

It may seem simple at first, but it ends up as one hell of a mindfuck. But not in a bad way.
TL;DR: There's no help. The stories (I am mainly talking about PS and Homestuck) build largely on high complexity, callbacks, and global mindfuck. There's no point in short summaries or such. You should either read the whole thing, or better not bother at all.
MSPA also aren't your generic witty internet comics, offering relief from complex reality with light humor (again, talking about PS and Homestuck). MSPA need attention and concentration when reading. Mainly lately, they rely strongly on high amounts of text. Andrew's vocabulary is rather rich, and as I pesonally don't use english in normal life, when reading through PS years ago, I almost always had translator open with it.

There's even a Steam group for the hardcore fans.

Alright let's talk homestuck. I'm gonna be trying to get better at art so I'm gonna be taking requests.
Also, if you want your pencil art colored I guess I could do that too, as long as you provide a scan.
so was jade's dog an actual lusus? i mean what's the deal with her? she keeps doing all this trippy stuff in her dreams and whatnot.
It wasn't her lusus the trolls just don't know human culture/biology.
she keeps doing all this trippy stuff in her dreams and whatnot.
The last thread had such a tearful ending.
The last thread had such a tearful ending.
Yep, and zombii failed to get the last post.
so was jade's dog an actual lusus? i mean what's the deal with her? she keeps doing all this trippy stuff in her dreams and whatnot.
bec is paradox clone of halley fused with first guardian DNA making him equivalent of Earth's Doc Scratch.
so was jade's dog an actual lusus? i mean what's the deal with her? she keeps doing all this trippy stuff in her dreams and whatnot.
Bec is an omnipotent being known as a First Guardian, similar to Doc Scratch. He's been looking after her for her entire life. He is not a lusus, those are exclusive to the trolls.
Jade's dreamself died recently, so we're just now learning the ramifications of all that. It seems the person has random nightmares induced by the Horrorterrors from the furthest ring. Feferi's lusus was a emissary to these Horrorterrors, hence why she's showing up a lot in Jade's dreams.
The current events confuse me completely.
Oh hello.
Also I am suddenly blue. Cool.
I wonder what happened to the second bec.
The one made by DG.
Oh hello.

I was wondering how you were a goldie with a blue name earlier.
Mug, can you do anything a Gold Member can do?
Thread commands infinite respect and I swear my allegiance to it, now and forever.
Mug, can you do anything a Gold Member can do?
It's probably due to the broken email system, I tried changing my password and email but I can't verify it.
And no, can't see shit, captain. It's all so... blue.
