That actually took me awhile.
Ah yes...the good ol' days of autoban and smartness. No ratings, no dumb box's or hearts. The thank's button was the only way to let someone know you helped. The days where one could buy their way into the Gold Member elite. The days when the Forums were run with a iron fist, and the mod's were truly feared. The days of such horror's as monkey_123 and FPS_TehP0wner. When The Bears Asshole existed and it's name changed every day. Those were the days indeed.

I am a '09er, but I am in no way stupid.
Facepunch appears to have the few old members that make decent posts, but it has to be said, on estimation, 1 in 100 threads get locked within 1 day (a shitty statistic). The smartness system, from what I've read, was a good regulator. People were happy.
Times change, people change, firerain gets unbanned.
