The only good thing about these new bans is that they are not only 1-2 hours long. Oh no, on this forum, the mods don't take any shit, your banned for fucking 7 days. SEVEN. DAYS. Not that it bothers me. Much.

I say if you don't own gmod then you shouldn't be worthy of Facepunch. I remember back in the day, must've been 2005 or late 2004, playing garrysmod V6. Then I heard Gmod had an official forum, I went and lurked for about a year and then I joined. That was in May 2006. Those were the fucking days.

It's because now that Garry's mod is not a mod anymore and can be bought by anyone and is now on steam the forums also needed to be made more appealing for different ages and kind of peoples. Before it worked because it was only a little community of peoples playing a mod but now it's a big community because it is now a retail game. You don't see steam forum banning peoples for spelling badly because it is not a little community of just friends or peoples playing a mod, it's a community of shitload of peoples playing games they payed for and shit. So basically I think he had to make the forum more "Commercial" so he had to remove the banning for bad spelling. No idea if you guys understand what I'm trying to say.

I don't care about smartness and I don't care about ratings. 1-5 system was easily the best thing for creative forums and I don't think it will ever come back which is a LOAD OF HORSESHIT.

05, that was the best time... I joined in 06 but I lurked for a whole year... The smartness system even helped me sometimes, it helped me remember things in English

I liked the old version of FacePunch, I liked how it was a bannable offense if you used improper grammar and punctuation. But now, the majority of that is gone and we are paying the price for those rules being removed.
