It was of course an exaggeration. They take up quite a bit of room though. Using Morph's script to put them back up at the top for me, they take up nearly half of the screen vertically at 1080 vertical resolution.
It doesn't bother me since I bookmark my most visited forum sections.
I think top or make it an option.
1) Put them at top
2) Get some javascript to hide them
3) Click this bar:

It's ridiculous. The votes are pretty much unanimous, and with that thing [B]HarryG321[/B] made, this should be fixed.
I liked them better up top.

It really hurts the Tech support and PC Building subforums, I keep ignoring them now.
Slide speed can be edited in about 5 seconds with the script, no worries there.
Can be browsed alot faster if they are at the top.
It's a pain in the ass to access the "In the news"
Maybe along with changing this they could stop fucking changing things without consulting the forum before doing so. It has never been sucessful, and it certainly still isn't.
