no, im not excluding that possibility lol. my point is a lot of people dislike him for the wrong reasons or because they fail to fully understand his point of view. thanks for asking though as it was nice to clear this up.
I'll be voting for Obama. I sort of liked Ron Paul till he admitted he doesn't believe in the theory of evolution because its just a theory. SIGH.
oh my god he's a horrible person for having a personal opinion that wouldn't affect his presidency anyways
Not to mention essentially he's a Libertarian, so his whole belief is to let you believe whatever the hell you want.

Yes, but the thing about evolution is that there's so much evidence for it that you might as well say gravity is just a theory too.
Yes, but the thing about evolution is that there's so much evidence for it that you might as well say gravity is just a theory too.
It hasn't been completely, utterly proven however.
I believe in evolution, but it's still not COMPLETELY proven.
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
Either way still not a big deal.
I'd rather see Mitt Romney in office. Rick Perry and Ron Paul just piss me off. Mitt Romney hasn't done anything, so he might be a case of the underdog winning.
no one is ever good enough anyways since no one will ever agree on whos good enough

As in, the federal government will not block you from doing things, but it won't safeguard rights either.
Not to mention policies of tax cutting and deregulation are not what we need right now.
Democrat/Green Party here.
I'm voting for Paul if he wins the Repub candidacy.
RON PAUL 2012
I'm actually registered democrat. But I'm changing my party affiliation just to vote for Ron Paul.
He is the man we need! His system gets rid of the fucked up system we have now! How does that not sound great?
It's great because I defended those protesters and their fight against corrupt government.
And now are Fox news journalists. It's about time both parties agree to get Romney the fuck outta here!

Search BainCapital dude. Romney is the fucking problem.
And it's great because we can see how inconsistent his funding is with his support.

WHO ISN'T LETTING RON PAUL TALK! (*cough* corporations)
ALSO ROMNEY'S FUNDING COMES FROM HIS OWN WEALTH!
This is exciting. It's so great to see this happening. I'm honored to experience this.
Corruption being defeated. FINALLY!
...well hopefully. But I have a lot more faith in Ron than I did for Obama.

Cool. That's like taking another mouthful of already processed shit because you don't want to hear any different.
I don't care about Ron Paul's personal views. And neither should you, and neither does he.
Because he doesn't believe in government conflicting with our rights as Americans.'
He's the only common sense candidate out there. Obama is a flipflopper, what would voting for him again do for us!?
We already know that he doesn't make any bold moves in the favor of the people!
And that's all we need to know when making our votes this 2012 election.
Ron Paul is bold enough to speak for us, the youth.
And honestly, what does the theory of evolution have to do with the downfall of this nation?!
NOTHING. I believe in evolution, it's real and exists. Doesn't matter, completely irrelevant.
American politics... Mass manipulation, bullshit and warmongers.
I hope Ron Paul wins.
Jon Huntsman finally dropped out
Obama is not a wizard. He had to deal with one of the worst recessions of all time, a huge conservative backlash in the form of the Tea Party, and was saddled by an uncooperative Congress. He was forced to deal with these things, and did not do amazingly because nobody would be able to. People keep on calling him a traitor, a flip flopper, and a pushover with no balls, but my reasoning is that he only human.
Disregarding Obama, when he is the best candidate, just because he couldn't do all things he promised to do (since when has a politician done so, anyway?) doesn't mean we should flock to a man like Ron Paul. The thought of Paul even catching up to Mitt Romney terrifies me. I do not want to believe we are dumb enough as a nation to elect Ron Paul, just because he is different.
You also cannot use the fact the media ignores him to argue in his favors, it does not change how much damage he would do to this country if he was able to do what he wanted to do. I personally want him to get a fair amount of coverage, so that the average voter can see the follies of States rights and Paul's proposed changes to the inner workings of the Federal Government.

This is why Ron Paul won't win: almost if not all of his supporters are in other countries and don't know how things work around here.

What do you base that off of? Here in Oklahoma I've seen people waving signs and a lot of highschoolers/college kids support him. (Highschoolers that are 18 or will be in months.) Surely he has even more support in less super red states.

The problem is that voter turnout is far lower in young people than older people, so the people most likely to vote for him, are the people who are least likely to vote.

You're right, which is odd considering a lot of his supporters are pissed off and don't want a two-face elected so I'd hope they'd actually vote. People that don't vote by choice piss me off.
What I hate the most about this year's elections is all of the publicity going towards Ron Paul and Ron Paul's huge cult of druggy's who only focus on how he's going to legalize marijuana and a few other drugs when they refuse to look at the fact that Ron Paul in fact doesn't support seperation of church and state Therefore taking freedom of religion rights away from the people.
I'm all for Mitt Romney for winning this election because he seems the more rational of the Republican Candidates, aka Rick Santorum wanting to go to war with Iran, Rick Perry...well...you know and the fact that Newt Gingrich and John Huntsman don't have much of a chance anyway AND I want Obama out of office for signing the NDAA.

Who really cares if he doesn't believe in the theory of evolution? It's not like that will significantly affect his decisions as president.
I'd definitely say Ron Paul is one of the ones making the most since so far. Though normally I despise the Republican party. They're all batshit baptists that say you should live on your own. As for the mormon guy that's running, well, we already elected a nigger, if we take a mormon in office, I'm moving to Sweden. I'm mostly just going with either Ron Paul right now or some of the democrats.

Well I haven't seen a single Ron Paul supporter in person and on all of his support videos on the internet half the comments are "I live in **insert country that's not the U.S. here** and I support Ron Paul", and the other half are incoherent.
Who really cares if he doesn't believe in the theory of evolution? It's not like that will significantly affect his decisions as president.
THIS.
Science is undoubtedly an important issue, and the truth it provides is important.
But whether one person agrees on that issue or not is completely irrelevant.
Politics is about public interest, and if we remove competition overshadowing privately owned research, then perhaps we can make the global interest objective instead of meddling with social affairs.
I believe Ron Paul is embracing the intellectual revolution of our generation, and despite his personal beliefs (on only abortion and god), he is against HOT DEBATES in media from determining your rights! Let's stop funding our own stupidity!

you know bill maher approves of ron paul?
intellectuals like stephen colbert and jon stewart see this as well.
why do think stephen colbert's main emphasis is satirizing the stupidity of talking to ourselves (as human interest).
[editline]17th January 2012[/editline]
GO TO FOX NEWS.COM!
LOOK AT HOW MUCH LIKES RON PAUL'S PAGE HAS IN COMPARISON TO OTHER GOP CANDIDATES!
THAT DIFFERENCE, is the DIFFERENCE that we can make if we operate at an internet level, not a television level!
The morons we know as conservatives are gaining awareness. Let Ron Paul's influence spread to democrats and republicans.
If you are a true humanitarian (like most atheists aspire to be), you would see perhaps there is hope in internet.

Two things:
1 Most of the people I've seen online who support Paul are grade A psychopaths
2 what does atheism have to do with this? Last I checked both Paul and myself are Christians.

That doesn't really matter unless he to is crazy. Though I have yet to see any of his views (that would relate to what he would do as president) that would make me view him as crazy.

That's from his New Hampshire "victory speech".

Thank you.
I'm not nuts. The people who perpetuate the message that internet culture doesn't have an effect on politics are nuts.
And they're the ones inhibiting the progress! The fact you guys still prevent the intent to expose corruption is what is ridiculous.

I wouldn't say you're nuts, but I wouldn't agree with the idea that Ron Paul is supporting Progressive values, more that he happens to have some positions that coincide with some Progressive positions, generally limited to his stance on war. His economic policies however, are those of deregulation and tax cuts, which will not help this country right now.
Ron Paul is absolutely not a fucking progressive and any progressive voting for him is a fucking moron seeing as his policies would undo 50 years of progress
