If any of you ever need some extra knobs, grab a used Evolution X-Session or UC-16. They go for around $50-70 on ebay and they're really well built. They're pretty outdated now and it kind of shows with the in-device editing but they're still great.
Ok what the fuck. I visited my old soundcloud page that i use for random shit and one of my tracks has like 9000 plays and 100 downloads http://soundcloud.com/croixx/bob-marley somebody explain this lol

Would anyone like me or anyone else to put up a jam room on tinychat, we can have a group and use manycam or whatever audio through stereomix. Or not even just jamming but if you want to work on your songs, come in and we can see how people work and learn from it. Cool idea or no?
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP YOU BEAUTIFUL CUNTS Sorry for caps, it's just that finally these past 2 years have paid off :v:
It's always that price, they just say that it's on sale (as they do with all their products) every few months. :v:
Wait, so it's always 900 dollars for The CCC? Why does it say it's on sale then?
Wait, so it's always 900 dollars for The CCC? Why does it say it's on sale then?
Because they include the free Fab Four pack. It'll be removed when the sale ends, a new product will come out which will have an opening sale, and then the Complete Composers Collection will have some other special deal offered with it. Soundsonline's products are on 'sale' for their entire lifespan.
http://www.beatport.com/release/september-rising-typeface/974766 released a tune today alongside label mate and great friend, quentin hiatus; entitled typeface for anyone that's bought or listened to my music before, it may be a little different from what you're expecting. or not. who knows
It's been 6 months since the last collaborative album. Are they pretty much dead?
Well, nobody really listened to the last few ones, so we just kind of let them go. Also, might as well post this here too:
Hey guys, I'm new to this sub so I'm not really sure where stuff goes but most of my stuff has just been going ignored in the other thread so I might as well ask here: how can I make my transitions more "pleasing"? I currently just have some white noise building up and breaking down but it sounds like absolute trash, and it still seems like the change comes out of nowhere. Here's an example, this is my third track (ever) and probably the first one that I'm going to complete but all the transitions sound like absolute garbage: Edit: and just for clarification, I know absolutely nothing of music theory and I've just picked up Ableton a few weeks ago.

Also add a lot of filters and glitchy stuff it's easier than feeling it out
Hey guys, I recently started using cubase, and I'm having a little trouble finding a tutorial that explains it, so I figured one of you here knows : What is the point of the "pool" when I can easily drag n drop samples into the groove machine without hassle?
Seymour Duncan TB-11 vs Seymour Duncan 59' vs Seymour Duncan 78' vs Wolfetone Marshalhead? [editline]7th October 2012[/editline] I think I'm going to get the 78's
Is there already a thread about random tendencies/rituals you have when producing, or is this that thread? Anyways, I find myself (in FL Studio 10) after every major adjustment, let's say arranging some patterns in the playlist, clicking randomly on the playlist (adding a pattern) and immediately right-clicking it (removing the pattern) over and over and over, I don't know why, it just developed as an arbitrary habit, the most times I notice it is when I end up needing to undo a change and then realizing my past twenty or so available history changes are all remove/add pattern :v: I also find myself sometimes listening to the same thing I've produced over and and over for extended periods of time to get an idea of what to do next, which is probably fairly common. In addition, I like to set automation dots, percents, knobs, anything that has a number value, to specific numbers that "I like." Like I'll position it where it sounds right, and then pinpoint precision position it to said specific number.

Is it normal to fade in the master volume into a track with a lot going on in the intro or am i dumb?
Is it normal to fade in the master volume into a track with a lot going on in the intro or am i dumb?
When I used to do music tech my teacher used to say you should never fade using the master volume and do each track individually as it's customary to have instruments in different frequency ranges fading out at different speeds. I say poppycock and that you should go for it. (I'm aware this doesn't answer your question but I didn't really understand it)

Any advice on how to place mics and amplifiers in this kind of room? We have two mics, an amp for song mic and keyboard, one bass and one guitar amp (not the one in the picture, it's much nicer). If you'd recommend putting up some ghetto-rigged stuff, moving stuff around, it'd be greatly appreciated as well. If it matters, we're playing funk and rock, and using only guitar, bass, keyboard, song and drums. Some trombone as well, but that doesn't reallly matter much.
Does anyone have any experience with Reaktor?
Got a blister on my right hand from playing guitar, how the fuck does that even happen?
