What would your reason be for getting one? Don't get me wrong, they sound great, it just seems like a bit of a random synth to get. Are you getting it for the analog and/or vintage sound? There are a lot of much cheaper alternatives.
I've listened to several songs that captures this great sound and I think it'd be fun to experiment with a high quality vintage synth
uh its an analogue synth, you have to do some snooping and fumbling around like the rest of us do, especially if you want one cheap
I thought that I could record something fun with my cazoo whistle today, but my roommate thinks it's a good idea to go to sleep in the middle of the day .-.

ahhhh fuck him, I'm recording it anyway

Your chances are not good also be aware that most synths can get a similar set of sounds out of them if you have good control over them
I can finally say I'm a paid musician. I'm playing in the pit at my local community theater. Were doing the show Music Man, although my whole weekend in now consumed by it for two more weekends. I am getting paid a lot of money to do these shows though, so it makes it worth it a little bit more than usual.
floyd roses are actually the fucking spawn of the devil. I can't even play guitar, but i know how tuning works. I've looked up tutorials, and I can only tune fully once before i notice the bridge is practically upright, and even then the bottom E strings becomes out of tune again
and i've tried adjusting the claw screws and, through loosening and tightening, still isn't helping.
Does anyone know how the likes function on soundcloud works? I got this song that has 23 facebook likes, but my link on facebook only has 6 likes so far.
If you share it on facebook and it gets likes they will not translate to soundcloud likes

Yeah that's what I'm curious about, why does it say two different things (and most importantly, what does it mean? I'm anxious to know why so many people like my song!)
[editline]19th February 2013[/editline]
In totally unrelated news, I've been given the task to make a cover of Rick Astley's hit "Never Gonna Give You Up", planning on having the verse and intro be sort of acoustic, pre-chorus be guitar+bass and then chorus with guitar+bass&drums and then build up again with perhaps only guitar+bass on verse 2, add drums on second pre-chorus and then really go nuts on the drums on the last chorus, then one verse again with guitar playing the melody line and then end.
Anyone got any ideas on how I can spice up the cover?

It means that people have liked your link but not bothered to go on soundcloud
so essentially it means people have liked the fact that you released music but haven't bothered to listen to it
story of my life mate
I don't post music on my facebook
most of my irl friends aren't even aware I'm interested in music at all except that I used to play guitar in high school, they certainly don't know I record
oh no i dont post anything on facebook, let alone my music
everyone says im a good musician etc. but no-one takes the time to hear what i make
i don't really mind, i'm not the type of person who wants to shove it in everyone's face anyway
Yeah exactly
Some people I know like to do it but the music is just laptop ambient shoegaze pads and it strikes me as pretty lazy so I tend to steer away from it, FP is pretty much the only place I'm willing to post until I'm happy with what I make
i do movie soundtracks a lot too, but i never get to make the noise-krautrock that i love making for those

We should start a band and tour the world, Neu! style.
i was in a band like that once! but then one of the guitarists got really pretentious and demanded to sing his songs which were all about the same breakup from like 5 years ago
Oh god I know a band like that, the guy sings the same song about his breakup every time its so embarrassing
what I would give though to be in a band willing to do Neu! and La Dusseldorf covers

Nah, all the songs will be about machinery or trips through western europe.
Now I remember why I started producing again haha

you started producing for the ego boost???
you started producing for the ego boost???
No I have to say it's pretty heartwarming when a guy says your music's good
but when a girl does it
dayummmmmmmmmm
you started producing for the ego boost???
How can you not see I was joking
one time a girl told me she liked my band and she said that i was pretty cute while i was bending over and feeding back my guitar
i almost went back to her friend's house with her but we had to load out and i spent that night in a van wishing i had a cold shower instead

wow rude; i was medically diagnosed with no sense of humour
I like it when people I know like my stuff, it's a gratifying feeling
Anyone know any guitar similar to this but in matte?

It's funny what being good at something can do to increase your attraction on the opposite sex and friendlyness in the same sex.
People that have been outright assholish towards me, has tried to become best friends with me when they see my drumming. Usually, I just ignore them.
On that note, dating/sexing your fans can many times be a bad idea. Like my ex for example, that tried to kill herself twice when I wanted to break up with her. Now she has boatloads of kids with some douchebag vocalist-type person.
id just like to remind you all that the vast majority of women (and men, for that matter) do not care whatsoever if you are a dubstep producer
