Are pulse waves and squares the same thing?
Are pulse waves and squares the same thing?
pulse waves peaks and troughs are different lengths, square waves are symmetrical

I've always been for the more relaxing side of metal
I made a youtube account for my music. I haven't uploaded anything yet. It's going to be a bitch converting my music into video files.

If you have Ableton Live... What I've done is insert a 1280 x 720 picture, with the music on one track, and make sure the picture spans the entire length of the song. Then render it as a video. Easy peezy.
I bought this thing

I've been building some acoustic absorber panels to sort my room out a bit. Starting with some thin ones for the first reflection points (Point found using a mirror)

Next up, Bass traps! - And then some decent monitor stands, something I've been putting off for a while (Though I may be building my bespoke desk with integrated stands)
Concert day today. Gonna be playing with my bluesband at some kind of easter arrangement where people drive in their american cars and barbecue(not at the same time I hope). There's 250 confirmed guests at the moment, so it will probably be like fish in a barrel in the pub where we've set up.
Last time we played at the same place, there were a bunch drunk idiots pestering the bassist, and some idiot that was so drunk, that he danced right into a fireplace. Thankfully for him, it wasn't lit..

I'm doing this right now too. :3
I should carpet the walls
I should carpet the walls
Assuming the carpet's a standard thickness it'd only absorb frequencies >8k or so, leaving with you with a bassy and non-diffuse mixing environment.
I should carpet the walls
use mattresses for cheap soundproofing
Assuming the carpet's a standard thickness it'd only absorb frequencies >8k or so, leaving with you with a bassy and non-diffuse mixing environment.
that's if you don't put anything underneath, I'd have an inch or so of foam underneath
that's if you don't put anything underneath, I'd have an inch or so of foam underneath
Then why would you need carpet?
Then why would you need carpet?
because its prettier than foam
does anyone on this forum have a mic which is quite clear, n good quality and shit? i may need your help for something quite easy

Hope you can give me a nice link or something, because I really want a keyboard.

anyone? :(
and @staneh you could just modify some organ synths or something
I suppose it depends what in particular you require, I can't sing/talk into a microphone because your ears would surely bleed :P, but I do have a decent array of microphones and preamps here. My best LDC is currently on loan, however.
i just need some spoken word, then ill vocode it beyond recognition if its ok by you
(its as embarassing for me as it is for you, my songwriting skills are on par with 13 year old poetry)
Does anyone here use Reason 6? I use Reason 5 and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading.
I'm still on 4 and don't have any reason to upgrade
[editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
actually now that I'm reading up on it, you can record external audio with it. I might have to upgrade
Hey, so Schmoe222 can't continue being the head honcho collab album. Will someone take his place?
Honestly, guys, I have a lot of stuff going on academically and would really appreciate it if someone else could take this over.
Here's a cover of Bauhaus' Bela Lugosi's dead from our grindcore project's obese band members (singer and Drummer) and some other fat cunt. People accuse singers of such genres as grindcore to be untalented. Ours has a very good singing voice.

it's a bit harsh on the ears at some parts due to crappy camera mic

I've played saxophone all my life.
I just bought a trumpet, mute, mouthpiece and laureate for $300.
God save my roommates.
Why is it that every prog house pluck tutorial ends with terrible results?
