You gotta keep in mind that my small, town-sized city is fucking dead after midnight.
You gotta keep in mind that my small, town-sized city is fucking dead after midnight.
I suppose if you were driving alone it's cool then. However if you were driving with others remember you're responsible for them too. Still, I respect you so I expect you were fit to drive as you don't strike me as the sort of person who'd misjudge their coherence. Strangely I find that DXM seriously fucks with my motor functions but then I read what I've said and it makes perfect sense afterward. I guess it's a perception of retardation rather than actual retardation. Probably the reason I don't enjoy DXM.
Yeah, I was driving alone. I just had to get myself home, and I was able to muster up enough focus to make it there alive. I will never ever fucking do it again. It was so hard. My motor skills and reaction time were severely inhibited, and I was fully aware of it. [editline]12:39AM[/editline] If the roads weren't empty, I probably would have gotten into a crash [editline]12:39AM[/editline] But maybe I am over-exaggerating. Who knows?
I love how this poll has been at an EXACT 50/50 since it's start.
You will be a better driver sober... period. But it's not all that difficult, you just can let yourself get distracted.
Being high isn't the sane as being drunk, it effects everyone differently, and some people do drive better stoned then they do sober, so as long as you weren't a hazard to anybody or anything I see no problem.
That's the biggest load of shit i've ever heard. Driving on anything makes you fucking useless and you should not do it. Ever. You're a fucking cunt if you do.
I disagree completely.
highly dependent on the person but i consider it no different than driving drunk. your state of mind has changed and you can even get charged with a DUI.
To be honest the only reason not to drive stoned is because you can get a DUI which would suck and if you did injure someone you'd blame yourself infinitely more because you knew that there's no conclusive evidence that being stoned doesn't affect driving. Still, I voted yes in the poll assuming you're not mashed out your face and are still coherent but I'd advise against it unless it's necessary.
My friend drove 4-FA (amphetamine) last time, and was driving 3/4 of sober speed. So, pot and amph driving is safe as long you aren't shitfaced or sleep deprived.
Whenever I drive high I'm probably alot better because of the fact that I am paranoid to all hell.
Being paranoid doesn't makes you better, in fact it makes you perform worse in many cases.

I'm sure people with Adderall and Ritalin prescriptions aren't banned from driving.
Dude, I love driving on amphetamines... just gotta make sure I don't speed too much, lol

It's fucking whack, especially since i live in canada.. and now i have to pay $200 to take a stupid fucking DUI course just so i can keep my license
Unsafe. You're intoxicated. Your reaction time is shit terrible, but it's nowhere near as bad as driving piss drunk.
The great thing about marijuana is that you are fully aware of just how "intoxicated"/inhibited you are. With alcohol, you never truly feel as fucked up as you really are

CNS depressants should carry different penalties to Marijuana. Even worse, there's a "safe" level of alcohol that lets you get away with it even though it has been shown that blood levels of ethanol directly correlate with accidents. There's NO safe dose.
I rode on the highway at 15 mph at midnight. It's safe.
driving on a highway at 15mph is not safe. I will lay down on my horn if motherfuckers don't make it up to merge speed (90hm/h) before the highway ramp ends. Don't expect to merge properly if you're not going fast enough, you slow fuckers. And going 15 on the highway is just asking for trouble.
I love how this poll has been at an EXACT 50/50 since it's start.
God damn, I've noticed. This must be quite the debated. I've seen scientific evidence both for and against it so I dunno what to think.
Oh no I made it 50% 50%! I think it's totally safe though I don't see anything wrong with it.
Oh wow I like how it's 50-50
Driving stoned is ok, as long as you're not really fucking stoned. Studies have shown that people under the effect of cannabis drive much safer, as they get more defensive and cautious in their driving. Driving on hallucinogens/alcohol/strong opiates is just irresponsible in my opinion.
Is it ok for me to drive on 2C-I, if I see and hear clearly? (Not that I ever drove any machine on 2C-I)
http://www.tokeofthetown.com/2010/05/study_marijuana_doesnt_affect_driving_performance.php
"Subjects show almost identical driving skills just before and just after smoking marijuana"
Just saying.
damn, I was just about to post that ^^link.
I have ridden my moped stoned, it was much more fun than normal but I wouldn't say safer, I am not sure if I will drive my car stoned yet I must likely will.
It's safe, but sketchy at times. A friend's girl was driving another friend and I back home yesterday, and she was swerving all over the place. Even on a straight road she would suddenly break at random intervals, which made packing the bowl difficult
