The fact that Africa is being raped and corrupted, with all of this quite unceremoniously endorsed by the rest of the world makes me sick. If we as first world nations were to pull our shit together and stop acting like pretentious dickheads, could completely erase the third world debt and lift every single country within the continent into a comparative state of peace and the beginning of continuing prosperity.
It was the relentless conquest and resource abuse by the British Empire and other powers that sought the untapped regions of the continent that brought Africa to it's knees in such an appallingly spectacular way. There's a reason Africa has been reduced to the degenerative state it's in now. It's greed and selfishness. Nobody wants to give up what they've gained to give back because it would mean accepting the blame for what they've allowed to transpire.

I've never lived in Africa but I think all people feel a connection to it somehow because we evolved in Africa. I think it is really a beautiful continent even though it has many problems.

My love for Africa goes deeper than just originating there. I love Africa for its beauty and the wonder you can find only there. It's hard to explain properly.

Exactly, if a generation barely reaches it's 30s with minimal privileges, the ones we take for granted, how are they meant to make decisions that are going to benefit them?
They have nobody to learn from, it's a vicious circle. Valuable lessons that could be learned and potentially change the course of their existence are being denied because there's so much conflict it makes communication an absolute impossibility. They're being brainwashed from such an early age to hate eachother that negotiation doesn't even enter into their thought process.
