In some cases though there's little you can do other than calling out their fallacy. This is common with all the whataboutism in polidicks, for example. 90% of the time someone tries to pull that it's something that has already been addressed and they're just ignoring it.

Unfortunately you're right. It seems to be completely impossible to have any sort of productive political discussion at this point because discussion is impossible when you can't even agree what the basic facts are or one side refuses to actually address anything at all.

Like to me political arguments just never end positively yet people still bother with them. People just want to feel validated at their own views or something? I quit getting into political shit on the internet a while back and I've never been happier and more well adjusted tbh.
Especially over the internet it just seems like it's designed to make you feel righteously infuriated. At least when you're having a political argument face to face there a degree of humanization between both sides.
I've even filtered most political news out of my daily internet usage, because 90% of it is U.S. politics which I have no influence over anyway. It makes you feel a lot more positive about life and about people when you aren't constantly being exposed to people spewing bile at each other every day

I actually recently discovered the best way to hold an N64 controller. It wouldn't work for a child's hands and no games were designed with this in mind, but if you put your left hand on the left controller and your right hand on the middle one, you can actually reach all the other buttons with your right hand pretty easily if you don't have child sized hands. This way the D-Pad isn't useless and you could even use it for movement while the right stick could control the camera

As someone with mental illness, I find it a bit insulting when people joke or assume that I secretly plan to shoot up my school or workplace.
I hate how people nowadays think that being shy and timid equals being a potential serial killer. I can assure you that if you ever see me walking down the street and we happen to make eye contact for more than three seconds. Chances are that I'll be more afraid of you than what you could be afraid of me.
If anything, a lot of the "sane" people I've met were often selfish and self centered, they always have a "survival of the fittest attitude".
They're the type of people who think that robbing from a home left unlocked is 100% alright because it's the owner's fault that they forgot to lock the door and they would even brag about it.
Basically if they can abuse someone or something, they don't think twice before doing so and when they get caught, they blame the victims or an imaginary corrupt system which encouraged them to do so.
Where I come from that behaivor is seen as normal, so yeah, for someone like me, people with "normal" behaivor can be dangerous to deal with.

Been watching UK Kitchen Nightmares on Youtube, and it's so different from the US version it's incredible. The US version makes it look like he yells at everyone all day and then buys them a new kitchen. The UK version he rarely yells at people and it shows a lot more of the actual talking and advise-giving, and there's no free kitchen.
I couldn't care less about the maximum brightness of a display - I get that it's nice under direct sunlight, but I don't understand why it's still a major selling point.
