I bet you like pineapple on pizza too, you savage.
On a less cynical note, I (mostly) refuse to see the same movie twice. "Let's go see Guardians 2, again, bro!" "Naw it's cool, go without me." "I thought you really liked it?" "Yeah, but no."
It, like, ruins the closure that the endings of movies give or something.
I don't see the point in watching movies more than once without the time period between watching being relatively large or if you're sharing the movie with someone who's never seen it before.
its entirely situational based on the movie itself. if its something like The Prestige or Arrival, i think you actually benefit from watching it more than once
some movies are definitely one and done for whatever reason. Jagten (The Hunt) is a fantastic movie that I never want to watch again, whereas something like GotG2 is a fun popcorn movie that I wouldn't feel compelled to rewatch
There are some movies that I've seen 10 times or more and still get excited to rewatch. The Big Lebowski, Drive, Donnie Darko, Pulp Fiction, just to name a few.

Pineapple on pizza is actually good though. Not my favorite but I've had far worse.
crowbcat is not funny or good
A lot of Westerners (mostly leftists for some reason) don't really understand the situation in the Middle East or the mindset of people in the Middle East and think the solutions are much simpler than they actually are.

i don't think it's really an unpopular opinion if two halves of the us population agrees with this statement as long as it is about the other half

The right wing also falls for this though, a lot of them couldn't tell you the difference between Sunni/Shia or why Islamism is different from Islam in general.
Okay it really actually grind my gears how theres a whole pineapple on pizza argument as if it matters. nobody flips their shit over anchovies on pizza or not, which is arguably more repugnant than pineapple eould ever be. same with olives. i dont like olives on pizza, im sure a lot of people dont, but its not like any pizza that has them on it causes shitstorms of people fighting to the death over whose opinion is right
Yeah, it's fucking stupid dumb idiotic. While I don't remember how pizza with pineapple was, I love my pizza with peach on it, stop whining about it. I bet most of the complainers haven't even tried pizza with those ingredients.
It also seems like online only thing to me. There's like 4 different pizzas here at local pizzeria with pineapple on it but no-one goes about telling anyone how bad that supposedly is.

It really depends on the movie in question in my opinion. A movie that's full of symbolism, for example, is one you can easily watch repeatedly even in a short time because you'll almost always pick something up that you'd previously missed.
Often times I'll watch a movie like that at least twice in a short period of time if I enjoyed it the first time because there's stuff that's easily missed the first time through due to revelations later on. For an anime example (just the first thing that comes to mind because I rewatched it fairly recently, lol), Madoka: Rebellion comes to mind there. There's a ton of references and symbolism in the first half of the movie that are only revealed in the second half. Some of them not even until the end.
Asian fusion pubs should catch on, because why should you have to decide between sushi and burgers when you can have BOTH!?
My unpopular opinion isn't unpopular because it is disliked, but rather because it's not commonly held. In short, I believe that people who consider typical electoral reform are going about it the completely wrong way. My own suggestions are larger elected lower houses, and sortition for upper houses (but that's another story for another time).
The problem with reform such as alternative vote/instant-runoff vote over FPTP is that it barely makes even the slightest difference to electoral outcomes; it does not facilitate third party representation (in both theory and practice), and it does not break up safe seats (even when gerrymandering isn't a thing, safe seats can still naturally exist).
Alternatives such as multi-member districts where members are elected via proportional methods (STV etc) are not that much better either. They often provide a platform for extremists on the political fringes. They also promote siloism by candidates needing only appeal to a core voter base rather than expanding to undecided voters. That is compared to single-member district systems (FPTP, AV/IRV etc), where candidates have an incentive to appeal to as broad of a base as possible - but specifically, they need to focus on undecided voters in the rational, political centre.
Lower houses, especially the US House of Representatives, should be much larger, while retaining single-member districts. When there are districts comprised of say 700,000 voters, it means that only the few elite with both money and influence (not the same thing) can even go as far as making it onto the ballot; these people do not represent the general public. When there are more districts and each district is smaller, say 70,000 voters each, that reduces both the money and influence requirements for ballot access, helping to elect more 'genuine' representatives.
I also propose sortition for upper houses, but that's enough of a rant for now.
People need to stop putting marijuana on a pedestal when it comes to treating mental health tbh. Just because it's fun, it comes from a plant and it's natural doesn't mean it can't intensify your depression, axiety schizophrenua, etc. I'm saying this becaue I have depression and anxiety and I love marijuana It's good, it can help but it can become your worst enemy. Also it's still a drug, it still have side effects and it is addictive (Yeah, I know it's not physically addictive. But everything that makes us feel good can become an addiction, from tabacco to buying shoes, you name it). It's no better than other medications just because it makes you happy and because it's a plant.

Love pot, I think it should be legalized but I think conservative people need to be more open to it as much as potheads need to not think of it as a solution for everything that works for everyone

Because the second time you get to notice how the director and the creative teams do stuff
On the topic of the middle east, I can't help but wonder if the end result will lead to a rise in a technocratic government where religion is banned and scientists are the law.
Honestly, i feel like the best solution to mitigate conflict in the middle east is to impose a technocratic government. I'd disagree with the "ban religion" part, though a focus on science would probably lead to less conflict in that region.

Scientists, while supposedly to be extremely knowledgeable in specific areas, often show themselves as less than capable outside of them. Just like any professional dealing with things outside of their area of expertise.

Like the current US president and his administration.
Though, I think if scientists were in charge they would listen to experts of fields they don't know much about.
