I get why Doom 2 has a larger following than the first game, though as an actual game itself, I'd say the original doom was better paced and generally had much better level design, not counting E4Mx

With the direction Bethesda's going down, I would love a Dark Messiah 2. Improved combat and an even cheesier main story? Sign me up!

That's one of the best songs on the album.
I played PUBG and I hated it. Felt like yet another unfinished shitty DayZ clone.
I honestly think BB is kinda overrated. Don't get me wrong, I think the game is still great and played through it multiple times, I just never got the same love for it that a lot of people do.
Also, I would still consider it a "Souls" game since it's still a From game and has a lot of the same mechanics and game feel as the others, imo.
BB is probably the best Souls game next to DeS and DaS1, but it's pretty overrated because of it being a PS4 exclusive that Playstation owners hype up to an absurd degree.

Say what you like, it was a big selling point for me to get a PS4, and I'm sure it was for a lot of others too

I honestly don't understand why is everyone streaming that game.

to me it seems like almost purely a YouTube/streambait game because of silly wacky hijinks with friends.
i almost exclusively play competitive multiplayer games and don't understand the issue with toxicity
i guess it's easy for me to disconnect from it though because i dehumanize most of the people i meet online
they're "another fucking [x annoying character] main, ew", not "some guy who plays [x character]"

"Toxicity" to me means that it's an acceptable part of gaming culture to not really mature past the age of 14, and to speak entirely in memes. I can't stand the retards who play CS:GO

This is the popular opinion in the Doom community though? The only reason Doom II is the basis for level packs and mods is specifically because of the super shotgun, the enemies that aren't available in the first game, and the fact that Doom II isn't split into several episodes. (Which can be worked around but takes more work.)
TF2 is garbage and god damn dead, and the people oh-so eagerly waiting for updates still are in deep denial. Or they are just insane.
Tbh I don't get why people think it's so shit now. Been going back to it lately and the gameplay is almost the same as it was like five or six years ago (which was when everyone seemed to love it) apart from the new weapons and slight balancing. You can just ignore all the bloat.
The matchmaking is still shit but no where near as bad as people make it out to be.
It was great forming a community inside of a server and seeing familiar faces that you could form friendships and rivalries with. It was like going to a bar on your night off and seeing a bunch of friends to hang out with. Never will understand why TF2 would ruin that.

At first the standardized valve servers were pretty necessary to stem the effects of the masses of F2p coming in. It was fine for awhile too, autoconnect placed you into community servers too. Though then they changed it and also disabled hot-joining valve servers too, pretty much creating two different worlds.
Also community servers still exist, a lot are shitty 24/7 100% crits servers but there's still some decent ones if you look for them.
If you're eating pizza at a table, you should use a fork and knife so you don't get your hands dirty.
overwatch is one of the most frustrating and anti-fun games i've played in awhile
why do i have like 100 hours in it, i hate it
I don't even like video games anymore, I just use them to fill all my time
vinyls arent too great of a hobby or way to listen to music, cds are much cheaper, still physical and have better audio quality by miles

they're much cooler to have than CDs, but I can't imagine thinking "I want to listen to x album" and popping in a record that wears like nuts
If you're eating pizza at a table, you should use a fork and knife so you don't get your hands dirty.
I disagree, I think it's a case-by-case basis. If you grab it by the crust and it's not your standard greasy fast-food pizza shit, it's not a messy food worth fretting over. The pizza I eat at tables is either not greasy, or being given to me while I'm at somebody else's house and I don't want to be the weirdo using a fork and knife to eat his pizza when nobody else is. The only time I think I can get away with it, or even when it matters, is when I buy pizza that's so greasy I have to dab the top of it with a napkin to make it edible, but that kind of pizza is a rarity where I live, and the only place I know that has pizza like that isn't somewhere I go to have manners, it's basically Wal-Mart's bulk-sale twin owned by the same people. If I'm there buying pizza and eating it at one of their tables that's reminiscent of one you might find in a public park, chances are I'm on my lunch and in a hurry.
overwatch is one of the most frustrating and anti-fun games i've played in awhile

I wouldn't call it frustrating, but it is really fucking boring. It really just feels like there's nothing to aspire to, the skill ceiling feels so low and the gameplay looks so plain that it just cannot sustain my interest for very long. Without really anything impressive or skill-intensive going on when watching, there isn't anything to aspire to and no motivation to really get better. Which makes ranked a grind more than anything else.
It's also just a bit too standardized. In TF2 there were a lot of very weird modes and servers that change things up a lot. But overwatch is just 6 v 6 with a few shitty arcade games.
12v12 would be very interesting. a clusterfuck but I bet I'd play it a lot
I don't mind the good ol' Bethesda game trait of only having like 3 voice actors. It gives them character and a sense of familiarity. Even when I'm doing a quest I've never done before, I'll talk to someone and go "Oh hey, it's gruff low-pitched male guy used for buff characters! I know him!" Better yet when it's someone like Stephen Russel and he's introduced as a main plot character in FO4 and I recognize him from every time I've done the Thieves' Guild questline or stopped into Belethor's to sell off some Dragon Bones in Skyrim.
I like familiar voice actors, it makes the environment around me feel more familiar despite being completely new.
Daily reminder that Mel Blanc voiced all of the cast of Looney Tunes all by himself. Also LittleKuriboh does a damn good job voicing all the characters in the abridged series along with being able to easily switch between Yugi, Atem and Kaiba voice.
Is incredible what you can do with only one person doing the character voices.
I liked Ghost In The Shell. I would definitely not recommend it to someone just getting into the series or hardcore fans, and I can see how said fans don't like it. But for a Hollywood adaptation of an Anime it was serviceable, mindless fun. It's not the dumpster fire a lot of people make it out to be.

I've yet to see it, but I still can't wrap my head around what seems to be the terrible casting choice of ScarJo. I can't see at all how she'd play a good Major. And that's not even considering the race thing.

It's actually explained in the movie why. But I will say this, I walked out of that movie happier than I did for Alien Covenant, and I'm a huge Alien fan.
But yeah I'm so used to ScarJo as Black Widow that I kept feeling like it was a Cyberpunk Marvel Movie.
