Indie games collectively have a bizarre problem where they all need to be different and unique in order to stand out but they all end up being different in the same way So they just end up bland and samey again
I felt the same about them a couple years ago, but I think at the very least thankfully, in more recent times we're getting to the point where indie games a least are starting an approach more on taking a good and well-established idea and then providing a solid take on it with minor peppering of gimmicks or uniqueness, which I feel really has improved things so far. In no particular order I feel indie games like Fight Knight, Absolver, Dusk, (Hellblade this one is technically more of a 'AAA-indie' but felt like a good example still), The Long Dark, Darkwood, Stardew Valley, Rimworld, and Hollow Knight are using familiar AAA-genres or well established fun concepts and mechanics but giving them a refreshing spin to the genre without feeling forced, and just overall providing a really enjoyable experience that's worth playing.
Arena mode never should have touched TF2. Ever.
How about this unpopular opinion: Arena mode is by far the most fun TF2 mode It's definitely 80% of my playtime
I think the Windows Store would make for a better home for fighting games than Steam. In the case of 2d games, neither the keyboard or controller would have an advantage over one another, since it'd be more of a preference if you prefer the feel of a d-pad, analog stick or arrow keys when using special moves, and in the case of 3D fighters, you're better off plugging in a controller. Either way, would allow for cross-platform fights in-game if an Xbox One version exists Plus, it'd make for a pretty awesome "PC vs Console" marketing campaign

It's pretty safe to avoid the former because they're mostly derivative shlock, and the latter will pretty much never be finished.

Look at rocket league, cross platform play with xbone and PS4.
Games like R6S and Overwatch should really just have big, unrestricted 8v8 TDM matches as a side mode. One of the biggest complaints I see from people about these games is the toxic no-fun community and meta, so why not have a mode for pure strategy-free mindless shooting? One that helps train aim and keeps casual players from being turned off. I'd love to see what a Rainbow Six Siege map looks like after a few minutes of respawning and blowing holes in walls.

Well, neither being the sole home of a game. They're both obnoxious DRM platforms. And as AtomicSans said, you can have crossplatform play no matter what store you're on. Really, the main difficulty will be the networking implementation, balance, and perhaps dealing with sony/microsoft's bullshit, not who sells your game.

I enjoy books, movies, and video games much more on repeat reads/watches/plays than the first time through. Like, I don't care about spoilers because enjoying media is more about mastery for me than a first time experience. I like knowing exactly what's going to happen in each scene, and how it was done, and how it connects to the rest of the work much more than being surprised.
I will never consider games that have micro transactions in them while not only being 'full price' but also EARLY ACCESS a good game anyone that defends micro-transactions in an early access title is a delusional moron I'll defend them in any game with reduced costs to compensate, so long as its REASONABLE, but early access, no less a game that's popular enough that funding isn't an issue, is fucking greedy

At that point, people are free to criticize it as a full game.
I thought MGS4 was his swansong honestly. I thought 5 was a huge disappointment compared to 4
I thought MGS4 was the perfect ending to the story of Solid Snake. Yet to complete MGSV for a better opinion.

You don't truly understand the beauty of anal until you've been the one receiving, not delivering
Is a blowjob silly because there's already a vagina?
Nah man it's different, butts and vaginas require more effort. Sometimes it's like hmmm I'm too tired for sex right now but I won't pass up a blowjob.
